What size Shinco dehumidifier do you need?

The main factors in choosing a dehumidifier are the size of your space and the normal level of humidity in that space. A dehumidifier’s size capacity is defined as the amount of moisture that can be removed from your space in a 24-hour period under normal operating conditions. The chart on the left will give you a rough idea of the dehumidifier you need based on the size of your space.

Shinco Dehumidifier ratings are determined by using “normal” room conditions, which is 80°F at a 60% Relative Humidity level. Answer:	The container is approx. 4 1/4 inches in diameter X 5 inches tall. Size of Large can. Bigger than the average soup can by far. Hope this helps.

Answer:	the lid is only the size of a dollar. You could open it with a can opener and pour it in a dry peanut butter jar with the cell phone.

Answer:	No. The carton has "Made in China" printed beneath the UPC code. There is no indication on the cannister.
Question:	How loud is this model in decibels
Answer:	I weigh my canisters when I buy them for a base line. Most of these canisters weigh around 860 grams. I recharge them on the first of the month. They usually gain around 100 grams of weight. In order to get them back to the original weight I remove the caps and cook them in the oven at 275 degrees for 8 hours. I have arrived at this process after much trial and error. I have found that if I recharge them every two months the efficiency is greatly reduced. The second month weight gain is only about one third the value of the first month. I have been doing this for over five years and during that time I have removed over four gallons of moisture from three canisters.

First, humid air is pulled into the TOSOT dehumidifier through the grill on the front of the unit. The warm, moist air is pulled across freezing-cold pipes where water from the moist air collects (kind of like water gathering on a glass of iced tea during a hot summer day.) As the water collects on the pipes, it drips down into the drain bucket for later removal. While the water is collecting in the drain bucket, the now moisture-free air is reheated so it can be blown out the top of the unit and back into the room.

Answer:	Mine worked just fine as it was delivered. Make sure the valve is closed other wise it will not work

Answer:	I wondered the same thing. It is 5 tons when using the flat area on top of the ram and 2.5 tons when using the "toe". I had to lift a machine in the 2.5 ton range so this made no difference. It worked just fine for an inexpensive tool. If I were in the rigging business I'd want something more robust but, If you have 1 or 2 machines to move and will do it only occasionally it appears to be perfectly adequate

Answer:	you set the humidity level you want and it shuts off when it reaches that number. Ice maker tubing should be the same just get a connector and splice 2 pieces together.

Answer:	As long as the extra length doesn’t increase the height of the hose run, you should be fine. I have no idea if the internal pump has the power to pump uphill for an extended hose run.

Answer:	You can get tubing and connectors the size of ice maker and water tubing like that on your refrigerator, that should be the same size.
Question:	can this handle 100-240v input for electricity? I plan on using it overseas
Answer:	when you plug the tubing into the port on the back it automatically switches to the pump. it will empty and start back up automatically. The remote will not turn the pump on and off. Even when off it still getting moisture for a little while so the pump needs to be on to keep from overflowing. Hope this helps. This is a great unit.

Answer:	I do not have a decibel range tester. All I can tell is, this 2018 model of 70 pint Hisense's noise is just about half of that of a 7-year old LG 50 pint one which went dead last summer.

Answer:	This is a 115V system and will not work with 240V.

Answer:	You might have to contact the manufacturer on that issue. I have mine working in a 600 sq ft garage and it is doing a great job pumping water out and keeping everything dry. I might note that we live on the Oregon coast and a lot of rain gets tracked into the garage as the cars come in.

Answer:	Per the instructions that came with my unit: " lead the drain hose to a nearby drain lower than the height of the drain plug. " Based on that statement, I would have to reply NO to your question.

Answer:	Product can be set at 55% humidity. You can run for a month as long as the pump is used and you have a place to drain into.

Answer:	There are many factors that can affect the pump performance. The longer the hose is it creates more pressure on the pump and lowers the flow rate. But for short distances up to 20 ft I wouldn't be worried about tat. Smaller diameter hose than the port on the machine is worse than length. Ideally you want to use the same diameter as the port Vertical orientation is not good either and creates pressure drop. Avoid going too much vertical. Again few feet should be OK.
Question:	Can this be set to continuous operation to maintain a consistent humidity like the lower cost humidifiers. Want to use instead of box store model
Answer:	I just stuck the tube in the little opening and turned on the pump. Remember the pump won’t work until the the bucket is pretty full.

Answer:	No, If you follow the instuctions, The pump is for up hill applications and is it's own system, no bucket involved. Use the small hose to connect to the pump outlet and press the pump button to activate. the larger hose is for gravity drain only, Again no bucket involved. Just leave in place.

Answer:	The draining hose is 5 meters long. You can buy a longer one but it is advised to not go over 5 meters because the condensate pump can only push/lift the water up to 5 meters.
