Question:	Can I use the water for cleaning home surfaces and as a spray hand sanitizer if the water is saved in a capped bottle
Answer:	The SOTA Water Ozonator can be used to sterilize water, however, the ozone dissipates rapidly after bubbling the ozone through the water. While the water may hold a level of ozone if it is bottled and capped, it most likely is not strong enough to disinfect surfaces. Short Answer – without sufficient testing we cannot recommend using the ozone water for sanitizing surfaces.
Question:	I am confused because i have read ozonated water should be made with oxygen not air. How is this achieved
Answer:	Hi Janet – you’re not wrong – but let’s clarify things for you. First of all, the air around us has oxygen in it, about 21% is oxygen and about 78% is nitrogen. Various other gases make up that last one percent. In very basic terms, the SOTA Water Ozonator draws in the surrounding air, and the ozone chamber excites the oxygen molecules to create the ozone. The ozone is then bubbled into the drinking water, increasing its oxygen content which you can then drink. An easy way to provide your body with both water and extra oxygen! Keep in mind that ozone IS oxygen -- three atoms of oxygen, to be exact (O3). What you may be thinking of are medical grade ozonators that require a pure oxygen feed. Our Water Ozonator isn’t a medical grade unit, but it does a great job doing what it is designed for … to ozonate drinking water.

Answer:	Good question. We have had our spa for 15 years. We have found using the ozone system to purify the water to be more effective than chemical only systems. As to your question, there are several factors which impact the duration and effectiveness of the ozonator. First you must have adequate flow. We have found through trial and error that as the recirculation pump ages, the GPM decreases. Reduced flow can result in the ozone system not working effectively. Culprits which you need to be aware of are filters which are either very dirty and are restricting flow, or the filters are too restrictive when new. Also, be sure when you hook up the ozone system, you put a loop in the hose from the venturi to the ozone generator above the water line. This ensures that if you lose power, water will not leak into the ozone generator and ruin it. If you think you have an ozone system problem, first ensure adequate flow from the recirculation pump and the filters are clean. We replaced the system on our spa thinking it was the ozone system with no success. Next we replaced the recirculation pump which both helped circulate the water faster and enabled the ozone system to draw ozone from the generator into the venturi. When we ensured all the necessary requirements were met, we have been able to get 7+ years out of our ozone system.

Crystal-clear hot tub water starts with a crystal-clear UV sanitizing system. The quartz tube surrounding your CLEARRAY bulb ought to last you for several seasons, but eventually it will cloud over with sediment, scale, and even crystalline changes after constant UV bombardment. A factory-fresh tube once every two or three bulb changes will ensure you have the most effective UV sanitizing power.

Tube is fully compatible with both Jacuzzi-brand and Sundance Spas-brand CLEARRAY systems. Please note that a light-bulb is not included with this item. As of Summer 2019, an O-ring is not included with the replacement tube. Use your existing O-ring that came with your ClearRay system, or purchase a replacement before installing.

Question:	I purchased a used sundance 680 and need to remove/clean the quartz tube. it is stuck and will not budge. how to do i get it out without breaking
Answer:	I have a Sundance 880, but would guess the process is the same. Once I remove the nuts that hold and seal the tube, it just pulls out fairly easily. If it doesn’t, you might try wedging a semi firm rubber stopper (Which has a screw in it to pull with) into the the glass tube. I would guess that the end of the tube is stuck so try to twist the tube as you pull. Hope this suggestions helps/works, Ken

It’s important to note that Ozone can only travel the same paths as air flow, meaning that it is unable to penetrate sheet rock/dry wall. Make sure that all passage ways and areas you are wanting to treat are open and accessible to the ozone. As for Pests, they generally do not like concentrated O3 in their environment and will typically vacate the area. If they cannot leave but remain in a high level of ozone for an extended period, it will likely kill them. Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. It is best to treat the home as a whole instead of room by room. All interior doors ways and passageways should be open so the ozone can easily migrate throughout the entire home. Having your window air conditioning unit on low is fine. The ideal temperature range for treatment should be between 65-75'F. The Villa 1000 is capable of treating up to 4,000 square feet / 40,000 cubic feet. Question:	I have read ozone can degrade rubber, window seals and be harmful to leather and electronics. After how many uses would this occur if at all
Answer:	The number of uses before problems occur cannot necessarily be predicted because of all the variables in play. What you said about rubber, leather, and electronics is true. Ozone (O3) will readily oxidize (think of corrosion) susceptible materials and can start the break down of certain molecular chemical bonds. Over time, this can include corroding certain metals such as brass or copper and the surface hardening of compounds such as petroleum based rubber. In most cases, occasional exposures to ozone will do no more damage to metals than being around the salt laden air of an ocean breeze, but it still causes added corrosion. Rubber products, depending on their chemical makeup, may over time start to harden similar to how a car’s windshield wiper blades will harden when exposed to direct sunlight over time. Multiple rubber treatment dressings and related products are available to help preserve rubber products from superficial deterioration. A word of caution here: Some petroleum based products continue their volatile properties (releasing gasses and vapors) long after being manufactured. These gasses and vapors usually react with ozone and this reaction and it’s outcome can vary between even identical products based on many factors. Ozone can cause the appearance of premature aging for leather, although so too can very dry air. Most leather can be fully protected from ozone by simply using whatever product(s) the manufacturer recommends for leather maintenance, such as Chamberlains Leather Milk. As a rule of thumb, most electronic devices should NOT be exposed to ozone because their internal components and conductors can be highly susceptible to ozone accelerated corrosion. In contrast, leather and certain rubber compounds can endure substantial repeated exposures to ozone given due care and material maintenance. When in doubt, remove electronics before introducing ozone into that area (which is why using an ozone generator inside a closed car is a BAD IDEA). Articles containing petroleum substances, such as that beautiful painting on the wall, should be removed unless it’s known that the amount and duration of elevated ozone concentration being used won’t hurt it. In most every case, even in a car, a single one time use of an ozone generator for under an hour should be acceptable.

The Ozone Output dial is normally set in the "High" range. Set the Timer dial depending on the level of odors and the size of the space. See suggested treatment times in owner manual.

Hold position: For continuous treatment, turn Timer dial to the "Hold" position.

Vacate Area During Treatment

Vacate entire facility during treatment. Ozone is an oxidizer that breaks apart molecules, especially those that cause odors. However, people and pets are made of molecules as well. So overexposure to ozone could cause respiratory or eye irritation.

How It Works

The O3 Pure can be installed in about 10 minutes by the homeowner. No specials tool are required. A quick mounting template, handy screwdriver and an extra laundry hose are included. The cold water hose is attached to the unit and the included extra hose is attached to the washer. Our O3 Pure Laundry System automatically senses when your washer calls for water and the unit is only on when water is being ran thru the system. Our units are equipped with a German Engineered Oxidizing Unit to create ozone as well as a UV Photo Catalytic Oxidizer. As water is passed thru the venturi injector, it draws that ozone into the water. Our newest units also come with a quad check valve system to prevent leaking. The ozonated water then flows thru a diffusion mixer and highly ozonated water is delivered to your washer. No maintenance, cleaning, cartridges or additives are required.

Answer:	Not familiar with your specific spa but this ozonator is 120/220 compatible. It has 3 wires, black (hot), white (neutral), and green (ground). The discharge tubing is adequately long, and it comes with the check valve. Go for it. Mount it high and be sure to loop the tubing. Works Fine as a replacement on my Tiger Rivet Spa.

Answer:	We frequent used book sales, and recently my daughter bought a stack of books that reeked of cigarette smoke. We laid them out on end, so the pages were fanned open a bit, and left them on the table with this machine running for about six hours, and the smell of smoke was completely gone. So I believe the answer to your question would be yes. You may need more than a few hours, but I believe it would work. I love this machine.
