Answer:	The door and window sensor batteries should last more than a year if triggered 10 times per day. These batteries can also be replaced inexpensively by the user when they run out (they use a CR2032 3V Lithium Cell battery).

Answer:	You need to put a blunt flat object, maybe a butter knife in the slot and twist it to pop the top off the sensor. While allowing the base to remain adhered to the surface it is attached to.
Question:	Is the heater circuit in this a heat pump or heating elements. I need to use it in temperatures that may go as low as 0 degrees fahrenheit
Answer:	As long as you put one sensor part on the door and the corresponding part on the frame so that the two line up and there's less than 2cm distance between them when the door is closed, it will work fine. It doesn't matter if the door opens outward or inward, as long as when the door opens, the two parts of the sensors are separated. We do recommend installing the sensors on the interior side of the door inside the house, since they are designed for indoor use.
