Answer:	I would not store it on its side, due to the fact that the system contains refrigerant which is in a liquid/gas state to work. Probably a specific area for it to collect when stored upright. It could be ok, but I wouldn't.

Answer:	Yes, it can. We have a portable one all ready. We built a wood frame with treated wood for extra weather protection and painted it with good white paint. Set it in the window away from the main entrance. Cut a hole and put in the plastic lead for air to go to the outside. Attached the hose and it was all good to go. We caulked around the window with foam rubber strippimng to keep out the heat and cold weather. We also have one that has NO DRAIN to the outside.

Question:	How tall does the opening in the window need to be
Answer:	I'll tell you that I have yet to find where any water might drain out. No water has ever come out of that rectangular hole that I have seen. My unit works great to cool a 16x12 getaway shed, powered by a generator. Water builds up in the inside, and especially after a rain. You can see and hear the fan back there slapping the water that pools in the bottom of the unit. I was going to drill a hole in the bottom of the unit, but am holding off until I can verify that I won't be hitting something important. Can't understand why they would not have a simple drain in the bottom. But like I said, the unit works great.
Question:	Where does this unit drain from, I see a rectangular hole in the middle of the bottom, is that the drain hole
Answer:	The AC "box" is 16" wide (front view), 12" tall, 14" deep. I'm sure it would fit and you could close the 4" gap with the accompanying kit, a piece of cardboard, a pillow, whatever. I have mine sitting in my apartment's sliding glass door, on the floor. I got a 1" piece of construction foam (kinda like plywood, but styrofoam and very light) from Home Depot, cut it to fit the 16" wide by 56" tall gap above the AC, hold that in place by closing the sliding door on it. I put a little lightweight foam insulation (like you'd use on a door) around the foam piece and it seals nicely. I tilted the AC so the back end is a little lower in case water drips out during operation.

Answer:	I have the prior model (LRA050XT7). Believe it or not, it uses more electricity on low than it does on high. Sounds weird, but that's probably because the low setting uses a lower fan speed which blows less air through the external hot coils. That's assuming (likely) that the rotor/spindle for the internal and external fans is still one piece.On high, it uses about 400 W.

Answer:	As far as I can tell the only difference between this model at $135 (July 2019 price) and the more expensive $158 model is the price. But then I’ve only purchased the cheaper machine. I’ve bought four so far and I intend to get another soon. I use them in a very hot storage shed to bring the temperature down so the food freezers I have there will not wear out too quickly. They run all the time for nine months of the year and usually last several years. The first one I purchased was less than a hundred dollars as I recall but the price keeps going up. Still it ‘s cheaper to replace one than a freezer. It’s not much more in fact to replace it than get it serviced. I use one also in the upstairs room that houses my server, wifi router and other electronic devices and it seems to be running low on coolant and buying another one is not much more than a service call at the prices we have to pay now.

Question:	It says window opening 16in...but if i take my windows completely out, put ac unit in, then windows back in, that should work right
Answer:	We were able to fit it through a 14" opening by tilting it and then sliding it through. We had the take one of the windows out and then put the window back in after installing it. How easy is it to instal all comes down to the window. We had to modify and change a few things when installing it to make it work for a low profile attic window.

MyTemp Remote

Keep cool anywhere in the room with the MyTemp feature. MyTemp remote is an exclusive Soleus feature that allows the unit to cool the room to the exact location of the remote control in the room.

Auto Mode

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the cool, comfortable air while the Saddle AC does all the thinking for you in Auto Mode. Auto Mode chooses the most efficient operating mode based on current room temperature. Less than 75 degrees uses fan; Greater than 75 degree cools. Auto mode keeps you comfortable at all times while saving energy.

Sleep Mode

Sleep in comfort and quiet by switching the Saddle AC to Sleep mode.The fan will run on low to keep fan noise at a minimum. The temperature setting will gradually increase to 2°F above the original set temperature for each of the first 2 hours. The unit will keep operating the same temperature until the sleep mode is turned off.

Dry Mode

Keep the air cool and comfortable with Dry Mode. Dry mode operates the unit as a stand-alone evaporative dehumidifier removing roughly 30 pints of moisture per day.

1.Whether the product comes with a mounting bracket and mounting accessories? 

- Yes, no separated purchase needed. 

2.This is my first installation experience, how can I install the item?

  can read the instruction of installation manual or watch the installation video < Midea U-Shaped AC installation > on the detail page >. 

3.There is a gap between the body and the installation accessories after installation. 

- Please see the installation video on the product page for the steps to seal the gap. 

4.I found that there are missing parts in the package. 

- Please check the packages carefully and there are some brackets that may be in the corner or under the foam (ex. L brackets). 

5.Can screen be adjusted when the window is opened? 

- The screen is adjustable between 22”-36” for when people open their window – Height would be fixed at height from bottom of U to top of unit. *Reference adjustable screen separately sold.  

6.The machine is not cooling or cooling slowly.  

Please select the appropriate capacity section according to the recommended area. Check if the machine is in cooling mode.

8. The air volume is not enough to feel the wind. 

- Midea U uses a silent air duct design, and the air supply distance reaches 20 feet. While increasing the air volume, the wind noise is much smaller than the ordinary window machine. 

9.Can the display light of the machine and the key “beep” sound be turned off?  

-This is a regular feature and cannot be turned off at this time. A new version of the APP is being developed, and the function of turning off the display light and key tone will be realized by then.

10. What mobile phone permissions are required for the APP?  

-GPS and camera permissions.

Question:	Would this cool a room 10x12 with Xbox and hottest room in the house in AZ
Answer:	Thank you for your interest in Arctic Air Ultra. While every environment varies you can expect Arctic Air Ultra to cool your room up to 20 degrees F, depending on ambient humidity and temperature.
Question:	How much humidity does this add to the air? Looking to use it in a basement where we already have a dehumidifier and need to keep moisture levels down
Answer:	It will add some, but not much. Keep in mind that this is a personal product, not a room air conditioner. You need to be sitting in front of it to gain any benefit from the cooling air. It doesn't put out a great volume of air but is a benefit if you are in a warm room and sitting at a desk, etc.
Question:	Does this use USB or an electric outlet
Answer:	where can I get an electric outlet cord for the product. I bought one and only got a usb cable which doesnt help me
Question:	Does this blow out a mist or just cold air
Answer:	It only blows a mist occasionally on high and it feels good. On the other speeds just blows cool air (not cold like ac).

Question:	Noticed that mine makes an intermittent buzzing sound. Is this normal
Answer:	The hose is expandable. You might be able to buy a longer one from the company.
Question:	Can the 4” vent hose be split into two 2” vents? Making the window venting less obtrusive
Answer:	Yes, of course. it is the big flexible tube that connects the unit on the back to a hole in the plate that goes in the window opening
Question:	Does this unit collect condensation from the air? If so, how do you get rid of it
Answer:	A log? As in a log cabin? Of course. Since I don't use my fireplace I vented mine through the chimney.
Question:	How does it vent
Answer:	Yes. Mine goes into an empty dishwashing liquid bottle. There is hardly any condensation water going into mine but you would not want water stains on your floor. Your other option would be to elevate your unit on a box, place a dish under the bottom plug and open the plug.
