There is faint tiny pebbling, not noticeable unless you look carefully (does not affect writing on a single sheet of paper where the desk surface would impact your writing if it were not smooth).

You could flip the chair on its side & check the name of the motor manufacturer & see if its listed; OKIN Deltadrive, Betadrive, Okin, Limoss, and Tranquil Ease Motors. Firstly, you can push in and turn counterclockwise rotate to remove the panel, you will find four screws holes.

Answer:	I had to save the old cord that has two plugs, one for each recliner. I plugged the old one into the Okin Power Recliner adapter plug and it worked. Question:	Old power recliner- the current adapter burnt out. Back of the power supply shows input AC 115V 60HZ. Has two prongs. Will this work
Answer:	Yes it does.
Question:	I have a southern motion recliner the motor is a kdpt007 , dc 29v, 75w rated input, the prongs shown is correct will this work with my chair
Answer:	The mechanical mechanism is in the chair. But the power u it is that little box and cord unit. I don’t have a lift chair just electric recliners. I have replaced two of my recliners these power cord/ rectangle units when the ones one them started to short out or not work. Just Replacing the old unit fixed my problem. If it looks like the same thing you have, I would risk buying one and trying it. I bought one and it worked so then I bought two more as back up and had to use the second one right away. If you go back to the place you bought the chair, ask them what they do when one starts to work poorly or quits. See what they say, if they have any experience with them going bad, I am sure they will give you and idea. There was some new features on the new cord that I likes, a plastic piece that slipped on the cord like a clamp to keep it from pulling apart and the speed of the new ones were faster. Question:	Will this replace a kdd mode kddy001b ac/dc adapter
Answer:	If you have a standard power recliner that uses a 1.5 amp or 2.0 amp power block, then this should work with no problem. It has proven to be especially good as replacements for my two power recliners that came with 1.5 amp power blocks and that has been over a year ago. This particular model also has a power light which is not on many other power blocks.
