Their support team confirmed with me that this is the case. |

| Answer: | I'm not familiar with Macs, so can't speak to your specific computer, but there are a number of factors that could result in slower speeds. I'm using this same enclosure and I get phenomenal speeds out of mine. It's like a chain, only as strong as the weakest link. First, you'll never get speeds faster than what the M.2 SSD that you put inside is capable of. I'm using a Sabrent NVMe 4.0 Gen 4 card. Second will be the speed of the port you plug it into. For tops speeds, ideally you need to connect it to a USB 3.2 port (up to 20Gb/s) or next best would be a 2nd Generation USB 3.1 port (up to 10GB/s). Then you continue to drop in speed with 3.1 Gen1, 3.0, etc. Also, be sure to be using USB-C ports and cables to get top speeds. The 3rd most common problem is the data cable. The one that comes with the enclosure works fine, but is short. If you replace it, you must make sure to get one capable of the top speed of the port, so ideally 20Gb/s, and also make sure it can handle the power too. I would look for keywords like fast charging. A good cable should be able to handle 20 V, 5A. Even if you don't need that power, it's a sign often that it's a better built cable. This all means that 99% of usb cables available will be inferior and will degrade performance. It's also a good idea to make sure the drivers for your system, including USB of course, are up to date. Again, I don't know what the ports on your computer are capable of, but if you can combine all of the above, you should get good speed out of it. |

| Answer: | Yes it will, I currently have the old PS4 hard drive in there after I put an SSD in it. The only thing is that sometimes the PS4 won’t read it when it boots up but if you simply switch the power button of the enclosure off and on, it’ll read in about a second. |
