Answer:	Theres a tool you can buy for taking the too off. Or just put a flat knife under the plastic insert and pull gently and the whole too pops off. If you pop out the roller ball, it may make it loose or to where it wont roll anymore. Ive learned from my mistakes.

Answer:	Well, I didn't buy a Tempur-Pedic, but the memory foam topper I DID buy had me sweaty and overheated, despite being described as a "ventilated" version. This bamboo topper that I put over it (yes, I bought a topper for a topper) alleviated the problem; I didn't feel overheated even during our 100+ summer days/nights. For me, the difference was very clear: uncomfortably overheated before, comfy-cozy after. In addition, those discerning connoisseurs of comfort, my cats, strongly endorse the new bedding arrangements, sprawling all over the bed day and night like a furry set of throw-pillows. Your mileage may, of course, vary; but it sounds like a reasonable thing to try and a lot easier than wrestling that Tempur-Pedic back to the shop! You can always return the bamboo topper it if it doesn't work out for you.
