If you see it on IKEA's site, it is cheaper in price. I thought of ordering it there, and having it shipped to our house, since we don't live near an IKEA store. Upon learning the the high price IKEA charges for shipping? I'll actually save a good bit of money buying it at a higher price on Amazon as shipping rates are much more reasonable! So, just as an FYI, you're getting a better deal overall ordering it here if you don't live near an IKEA store! Hope this helps!

Answer:	Not high gloss: if compared to interior wall paint, it's slightly a step above matte but feels smooth, not chalky like a matte wall paint does. There is faint tiny pebbling, not noticeable unless you look carefully (does not affect writing on a single sheet of paper where the desk surface would impact your writing if it were not smooth).
