There is a few perception of a rough surface because of o micro details on the surface, that you can see in one of the pictures that show the surface of the product.Touching the nail on the surface and moving forward and back is possible to feel the resistance, but touching the finger and moving, it goes well without any resistance, although is possible to feel that is not a smooth surface like the screen of a smartphone.
