Answer:	Barry, on top of my desk, I have Computer screen, speakers, a light and a portable telephone. I have had to put heavy work on it before while e-mailing and never did it wiggle or act like it could not hold it all. So I really think it would be fine. I have had mine a year now, lots of compliments on it when friends come in and would not but anything else. This desk holds my fax/copier and modem on bottom shelf too. For the corner piece this would be if it was a complete square, but this is an odd shape to creat the corner. Height is roughly 29 “
