Question:	What are the white plastic pieces that go into the wood called
Answer:	It is a bit on the tall side and it doesn't have variable height settings I am still awaiting my permanent chair to use with it but so far with my "demo" chair I will say that it doesn't seem to be an issue but arm rests are something I'd recommend the edge of the lip is a bit jagged so if your arms have no support it begins to imprint on your wrists. I use wrist rests as well so I have no doubt that once I have my proper chair and for another buyers it is a simple issue to fix.

Answer:	It's not really a piece. The desk itself has two slabs of wood that join together at the corner. The longer slab is a complete rectangle, the shorter slab is not Long piece: 19 inches wide, 47 inches long Short piece:19 inches and for length the piece is straight fit 34 inches and then cuts at an angle which itself is 17inches so when looking at the actual length of that piece it's also about 47inches

Answer:	I have two 32" monitors on my desk. I set the base on the largest part of the desk where the two pieces meet. This seems to be the best approach to allow for keyboard and mouse, etc and workspace. Hope that helps.

Answer:	It is possible to put together without that shelf. It should still be sturdy.
