Answer:	Dear friend, Thanks for asking the question. I don't think you want to measure your books by weight to check the holding capacity of this shelf. Actually, the shelf is pretty strong and well balanced, itself is also pretty heavy. Generally I think each shelf could hold 2-3kg at least, no problem with your thick law books and etc. Still, I strongly recommend you to lay the heavy ones at the bottom. This way it could be sturdier and the kids can't knock it down easily. I would suggest you to measure the thickness of your books first. If your intension is to lay your books evenly into the shelves, it means you have 6 layers in total. And the length of each wooden shelf is 38cm. Since you have to insert the books into the shelf, it seems we are actually only using half of the shelf board to hold the books. Thus, the equation is: 38cm*3-1.2cm*6=106.8cm. Let's assume the average thickness of your books is 2.5cm(Forget about those law books), it means this shelf could hold about 40 books of yours~ Do suggest otherwise if you think my calculation is wrong. I didn't like my elementory school, my math teacher didn't liked me either~ Honestly, this shelf is more for displaying. It's really a nice furniture set whenever you put it. The holes for the wall brackets are only on one side, but wanting to install the two shelving units as mirror images of each other, I just drilled holes in the other side of one of them (four quick pilot holes for the small screws).

Answer:	I have read some of the review. It should. It holds large cook books so a macbook pro laptop should be no problem.

Answer:	This is a table stand. But you may be able to hang it from the wall I hope this helps.

Answer:	Hi Dhardy, I believe it is just Iron Not Cast Iron. this item is very popular as it holds up well in the kitchen.
Question:	How far do the arms stick out on the bottom? and How far apart are they from each other
Answer:	The very back horizontal bar is approximately 2 1/4 inches from the bottom. But the bar that curls on each side is angled upwards and the sides of that are 2 1/2 inches from the bottom.

Question:	how high do the feet adjust? I want to put this on a back enclosed porch that has a steep slope
Answer:	Only adjust about 3/4 of an inch or so.
Question:	The shelves are very awkward looking on the ends. They're too long. Can they be cut shorter? Will this effect the strength for books
Answer:	I’m not an Engineer but I think you could cut the ends of the shelves off as they are screwed into the metal frame. It would leave a rough end though and while the shelves are wood I’m not sure what kind of wood they are and if they would cut well.
