| Answer: | It is a terrible smell, like kerosene. I don’t know why they think people can live with it. I borrowed my sons Commercial Ozone Generator and treated the room the desk is in. It leaves the room smelling like bleach for a while but it helps. I’ve done it twice. I keep the ceiling fan on low 24/7 to keep the smell from settling in strongly. I’ve rubbed baking soda on it, and bought a sponge that’s supposed to absorb bad smells. It still smells a week later but I’m still trying. I’ve read that if you can put it outside all day in the sun, that helps. I can’t do that as we have a foot of snow on the ground. I love the desk so I’ll keep it but I know that some people send it back. Good luck |
