A lay term describing hardboard (peg board without the holes), particle board and MDF (medium density fiberboard), both manufactured wood products generally containing granulated wood, binders, silica(that’s right, sand, and lots of it), formaldehyde(linked to serious allergies and other health concerns as outgassing is slow over an extended period), poor moisture resistance eoffering poor structural integrity(the exception being marine MDF). Remember you get what you pay for. |

| Answer: | About the only issue that comes up with this kind of thing is some cameras can have clearance issues because of the way some mounting systems are constructed. This one has good clearance all around. Per previous post, any camera with a standard socket should work easily. I have a older (SX 40 I think) powershot - haven't used it with this rail, but feel sure it would work fine. |

| Answer: | ground is your ground - voltage doesn't matter. but no, there's just a single ground wire - you strip off a bit more of the positive wire and butt join it to a fuse tap and then, i generally, pinch the neg to either a circle or hook connector and ground it under a screw or both head that is grounded. |
