Question:	What is the vinyl gauge and what is the depth
Answer:	I have two sheets on my bed with the topper. That's what helps me. I actually got a larger size even though I have a twin bed because with the topper it adds a little height and gives you more room to play. You could also be sweating depending on your age from menopause. Haha I'm in it too. very comfortable though very very comfortable topper it really made the difference even though I have an 8 inch memory foam mattress. I also have serious hip issues and this really makes a difference it's totally worth it.

Answer:	The foam is easily trimmed with a sewing scissor that has a 3 to 4 inch blade. The blade length helps in that you do not have to compress the foam as much when cutting it.

Answer:	measure your cot... look at the specs of the pad. are the measurements of the cot smaller than the pad? larger than it? common sense. this pad is made for a twin xtra long. it probably will be too big for a normal cot,but you can cut it to size or just leave it overhang. Answer:	I’ve had mine about 1.5 years and it’s just like new. I did encase it and my mattress in a waterproof bug proof zip around encasing though so it was never exposed to dust, sweat or anything. It is probably dust and sweat and cellular debris settling into the pores of the foam that reduces its effectiveness over time. Consider a full mattress encasememt type cover that is waterproof and bedbug proof.

Answer:	Forget what the advertising says. I am 6ft, 220lbs and this is extremely soft to the point that you sink in it, sleep crooked all night and wake up in pain. Even my wife, who's been looking for a soft mattress topper, said the same thing and she is 5'8'', 130 lbs. Otherwise quality product and materials but not for us. Would buy from Viscosoft again, just not sure is they make a more firm mattress

Answer:	I bought a very firm mattress so I thought this would help. It's cushier than I expected but it's very dreamy to lie down. During the night I'm aware that is soft, but firm underneath. You could also get a 1" or 1.5" which are made. That would make it firmer. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The packaging details did not specify whether the lavender scent was natural or synthetic. I can, however, tell you that both my husband & I have severe allergy & sinus problems but we were not affected by the lavender scent. It is very subtle & not over powering.

The second I opened the package the lavander smell was overbearing, butttt once it got on my mattress and under the sheets I only strongly smelt it for the first night but I slept like a baby. When I got home the next day, my room was filled with the lavander smell and I stayed in there almost all night not wanting to move! So yes at first it will be very strong but the smell goes away. Honestly, my windows have been shut with the air on so if all my windows were open to air out the room, it prob wouldn't be such a strong smell.

Question:	Can you put this on top of a memory foam mattress
Answer:	I don't know. This has worked well between mattress and box springs on an ancient twin bed. However, it might not be sturdy enough to be effective on a bunk bed without springs. It seems that a single slab of thin plywood would be better. There are staples holding these pieces together and, I have snagged a fingernail occasionally when making the bed. Good product for me, maybe not for you.

Answer:	It’s the right size for a twin or twin XL . For a Queen size you need 2.

Answer:	Depending on your weight it might. I bought it for our fold out couch and it worked for a week before the board cracked. My son (170 lbs) kneeled on the edge of couch and it snapped the corner of the board off :( it’s made of partical board and the strapes are held in place with staples.

Question:	What are the pad dimensions
Answer:	No, I don't get too warm sleeping on the egg-crate mattress topper. It's only two inches thick, so you don't sink down deeply into it. Also, it has ventilation holes all over. How warm you get depends on how many covers you add. What the topper does is distribute your weight more evenly over the mattress.
Question:	Would you be able to get it back into the bag it comes in for storage? Thinking to use these just for camping in the summer

Question:	How long does it really take to arrive
Answer:	My experience was a return. It did not make me sweat, but bunched up alot to where I could feel it.
Question:	does anybody use this topper upsidedown? so that the flat side is up and the egg carton divots face down
Answer:	You can put it on top of any mattress but, although not that familiar with a memory foam mattress, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of that type of mattress since the egg crate foam would be a barrier to what the memory foam is suppose to do? - unless the memory foam is no longer doing what it was made to do then the egg crate foam would probably lend to a better sleep. I'm not sure if this is a good enough answer.
Question:	should I put the mattress pad over or under this pad
Answer:	It is made from foam, so you can cut it into any shape you want... But I guess it would depend on the size you need for your boat.
