Answer:	Upon receiving, I immediately washed the item in cold water and popped it in my gas dryer on medium heat. It came out without any issues and appeared to have no shrinkage. It is in a guest room so the next time I change sheets I will look at their recommendation.

Question:	Does this Pad have a chemical smell when taken out of the vaccume sealed plastic ? What does the packaging say as far as materials used
Answer:	It washes and dries very well but I would dry it by itself. This stackable dryer sounds small. Check it about half way to untangle it.
Question:	What is the thickness of mattress
Answer:	I bought it for this reason and after a weekend away and my kitten finding it, cat pee is stuck on my brand new 2 mattresses. Completely bummed as this was the entire reason we bought it. It looks and feels like total fabric - no vinyl/polyester feel anywhere which is HOW it is actually waterproofed. Totally disappointed and may need to buy 2 more mattresses.
Question:	I am concerned about the "waterproof" feature -Does this crinkle or rattle when you move
Answer:	This pad is THIN, 1/8-1/4" depending on how much you compress it when measuring. I do have to hunt for the thicker ones, as they are hard to find in the low-end chain stores, so I was surprised that it was not any thicker, more plush like i had hoped.
Question:	As a side sleeper, my current mattress is killing my hips......is this pad thick enough to offer good cushioning
Answer:	I can't find the content label on the mattress pad (I may have cut it off) but I believe that the top is cotton -- it's very soft. The sides are polyester, I think -- much nicer than my previous mattress pad, which had a very flimsy "fabric" which shredded after a few washings. I am very happy with the quality of this pad.

Answer:	No. I have not noticed that it makes any sounds at all. The top part is quilted so it is more soft, less stiff. Both my two year old and 4 month old sleep on it and it seems pretty cozy. :)

Answer:	Yep. I have 4 kids, including twins. Here's why you need this product, or one like it. Your baby starts crying in the middle of the night. You go in to feed him, and find that he's peed/pooped/spit up/vomited in the bed. Scenario 1: If you've made the bed the normal way, you spend an extra 10-15 minutes taking off sheets, cleaning the mattress, and re-making the bed (hoping you have another clean sheet!) Answer:	No smell. There is a sewn-in label saying the surface materials is 100% cotton and fill material is polyester. comfortable and soft, I'm satisfied.

Answer:	Brand new, out-of-the-box, and after a wash and full dry it is no more than 1/2" to 3/4" thick. I think it may be possible to get to be little more thicker by drying longer but I don't see how it could get to 2" thick. Unfortunately it is winter here and laying it out in the sun is not an option yet.
Question:	Is it 'breathable" -as cool as w/out a pad, or more likely to wake up 'sweaty' & hotter than w/out any pad or mattress-cover
Answer:	I have not tested the waterproof feature. No crinkle or rattle. I like the cover and would recommend.

Answer:	We bought an expensive mattress that ended up being very uncomfortable. I’m a side sleeper too and In the mornings my hips and back were killing me. This mattress pad became a life-saver.
