I've never washed the blanket, simply because it's so heavy it seems like it would just be a giant pain in the butt. I weigh about 190 lbs, and vendors suggest I buy 20 lbs weight; I sleep on a twin bed, and vendors suggest I buy a 48x72 blanket. So I bought a 48x72 blanket at 20 lbs. I felt crushed by the weight, and the blanket kept falling off of me whenever I rolled over at night, so it was too small. I then bought what I thought I should have bought in the first place, based on common sense = a 60x80 blanket at 15 lbs and I love it. I then later found out on the internet that this size and weight is favored by 90% of adults. I agree! |

To sum up, despite the weight, and the “cozy heat” cover, I do not think it is any hotter than sleeping under a regular set of covers.
