Answer:	I use filtered water to steam the bottles. We have not had any issues with mold and we've been using this warmer for about a year now. It's easy to clean. You just have to remove the cup (easily pops out) where you place the bottle and wipe out the reservoir with a towel (unplug it first).

Answer:	yes, it does. You don't really need to use the ON/OFF switch to turn it off. When the water you put in the warmer plate is gone, it shuts off automatically.
