Answer:	Are all of the reviews for the Luxurious Siberian Goose down Comforter? If it is down there are NO FEATHERS TO LEAK!. Does everyone mean down is leaking? Also if a comforter is making noises it is most likely the fill has feathers or the comforter cover is something other than cotton. Generally, if no percentage of feathers and down is given, a comforter is a minimum of 75% down and a maximum of 25% feathers. In the USA, anything with less than 75% down MUST specifically be labeled to identify the exact percentage of down and feathers.

Answer:	Down loft (spring back) is measured. Greater loft means holding for heat with fewer pieces of down. 500 is poor. 1000 is highest. Higher costs more because down is not side product of geese for eating and raised only for the down. 750 is high quality. 750 traps more air than 500. Perhaps it will take 80 ounces of 500 down to be as warm as 40 ounces of 750 down in same size comforter. Also the higher quality down springs back quicker and longer (decades). Baffle construction (rectangular 3-D box) is best to allow loft of down and heat not to escape through the stitching.

Answer:	Yes it does...BUT only when you first take it out if the package. I opened it the first day, let it breathe, then the next day I washed it with a good amount if fabric softener after that it was awesome. I love this comforter! You won't be disappointed.

Answer:	Well a duvet is by definition a large covering for a comforter, so in that sense no. The biggest reason I think one needs a duvet cover is that it protects the comforter from getting dirty and stained. We all have body sweet that discolors everything we wear or sit on over time. That will be true here as well. I was replacing a comforter I have had 10 years with this new one. Most of those 10 years it was in a duvet cover, but just from the few years out, it certainly begins to discolor slightly. If you want to know if it looks okay without a duvet cover, the answer is yes.It is fluffy and very white. It is not however soft. A lot of the reviews I read said it was soft like silk. It isn't. It feels like stiff cotton/polyester. Perhaps several washings will soften it. I can't use fabric softener due to allergies but if you can it might soften up more quickly. I have had to take it to a laundry mat (as it is huge and too big for my washer) and wash it as the chemical smell (not too strong) has made me cough. One washing has fixed that--I think. I haven't slept with it yet since washing it so I can't confirm no coughing, but the smell is definitely gone. Fabrics are made in one country, shipped to another, cut, sewn and shipped around the world. I'm sure they all collect dust, etc. from the process. So I don't think needing to wash it is unusual. It is more a safety precaution against all the dust and chemicals it collected along the way. Hope this helps!

Answer:	Yes...thread count is how tightly the cloth is woven. 1200 is about as tight as you can get which actually means no shrinkage at all, not in hot water or in a hot dryer. The more loosely woven the cloth (much cheaper to buy) the more it can shrink, and the more feathers can poke through. Feathers do just fine in the dryer. Work it a little if there are any clumps after you take it out. I wash mine just fine, even in hot water when my dog peed on it. Bleach doesn't hurt 1200 count fabric but don't use it because of the feathers.

California king bed: 72 inches wide by 85 inches long. its almost the same... i use the cal king because then it its a bit biger for our bed!

Answer:	The tag says "Made in China" imported by Home City, Inc. p.s. I washed the comforter for the first time yesterday using the heavy duty setting, cold water, and bleach-all contrary to the manufacturer instructions of no bleach and gentle cycle. It turned out beautifully! I am very pleased.

Answer:	Received this yesterday. Slept on it last night. My husband and I thought it was a little too warm for us right now. So I know we will not be sleeping under it in the summer. On the other hand. It is so soft and comfortable. Feels great when your under it. I would buy it again. I feel it depends on the person for it being too hot or not. For us it would be too hot for summer.
Question:	Can you wash this comforter in your washing machine. I have 2 cats that will probably lay on it
Answer:	I read the instruction and followed them to the letter. I have the king size and washed and dried it in a normal washer, delicate and dryer, low heat setting. No problem, we love it. I know some have said it rips easily. I believe it because it is so soft and comfortable, so I made sure to be patient and follow the instructions.

Answer:	For those in this thread who are asking where to find duvet covers: H & M (on their website, hm.com NOT in their brick & mortar stores!), Target.com as well as Ikea.com all have wide selections of good quality duvet covers at VERY reasonable prices! Just be sure to MEASURE so you’ll get the same size duvet cover as the particular duvet insert you buy!! Not all duvet covers, inserts, comforters, blankets, bedspreads & coverlets are the same! For example, an insert might be labeled “Queen” size, yet it could be as much as 6-8” larger or smaller than the “Queen” size duvet cover you already have, or vice versa!
Question:	Will this comforter be to warm for climate with temp 70 -76 degrees? I might wake up sweating
Answer:	I bought this insert 2 months ago for this year "extreme" Miami winter nights of 58 F. I loved it until now that the nights are back to the high 70s. Now we are sweating like crazy and we keep the AC at 70 degrees during the night, I can't imagine during summer time. So here I'm again looking for a thinner insert for my cover.
