Answer:	I am not sure how to answer that. I am definitely warm when I sleep under it. But I also have a fleece blanket and a down comforter on top of it, so by itself it is probably not too hot.

Answer:	Yes. we have a Cal-King mattress and we think the queen size fits it perfectly. The warming coils in the queen fit about 2-3inchs from the edge of the mattress on both sides. There is about 4 inches around the coil part left over that sits just over the edge of the mattress. I will tell you tho that the comforter slides on this electric blanket very easily. We use a sheet, then electric blanket then the comforter. The blanket works/heats well. The heating part of the blanket fits the body area of the bed.
