Answer:	No noise at all. This is a great blanket.
Question:	when i first turn the blanket on, the dial lights up for about 5 seconds, then the light turns off - is the blanket on? anyone else
Answer:	EVERYTHING electrical gives off a EMF when operating. Even our own bodies give off an EMF. An electric blanket, by it's design, operates on resistance of the electrical current, causing the heating elements to get warm. The greater the resistance (higher the temperature control), the hotter the elements get. Hence a higher EMF. If it were dangerous, electric blankets and throws would not be allowed on the market. Test your toaster while it is turned on and see if you do not get similar readings. Keep in mind that you are wrapped up in electrical wires and elements that have electricity going through them.
Question:	Can you buy the controllers separately? The controllers now get really hot and my son in law doesn't feel they are safe now
Answer:	It isn't long enough to tuck under the mattress at the bottom. I find myself always putting it back up on the bed in the morning. It slides off.

Answer:	i had this blanket for 10 yrs and would wash on warm and tumble dry low...keep rotating the blanket every 30 min. in the dryer so it evenly dries.

Answer:	Just call warranty service and they will replace it, mine just died after 2 years and they are sending a new one. Plug the suspect controller into the other side of the blanket to make sure it isn't the blanket itself. Warranty is 5 years, great product and service.
Question:	Can I make my bed as usual, using a bedspread while using this product
Answer:	I haven't had the blanket for very long and I usually do not use it at the higher settings so the controllers have stayed cool. I also turn them off as soon as I am out of the bed. So I don't know if the controllers of your son in law were faulty initially or if they got that way with constant use. It could be an issue to consult with the manufacturer through the internet. Gadgets that convert household current to low voltage to charge say cell phones or rechargable cell batteries do get hot if left plugged in for very long periods of time after charging. They usually recommend to unplug them after use.

Answer:	No. By UL standards "low voltage" blankets work on 12 to 24 volts and this blankets runs on AC 110-120 volts. The preheat, auto time off, 8 heat settings, and LED display options make it a feature full blanket. It was a great investment and I look forward to warming up with it during the cold winter nights!

Question:	I plugged in my blanket and keep getting F2 and it will not shut off. What do I do to make it work. It was working fine last winter
Answer:	Just push the button and it will turn back on. The blanket timer can be changed, but it defaults to the 4 hour length. So you would only have to reset it if you wanted it to turn back on for less than 4 hours.
Question:	I received my blanket December 7th. It's no longer working, is there any warranty

Answer:	The one they sent us is fairly heavy; it is like a "velour" fabric with a "nap" to it. We thought it would be more like a fleece. It also is not the color we ordered. :\

Answer:	The plug is on the center of one edge of the blanket. The cord is very long (not certain of exact length, but long enough for me to sit several feet from the plug with the controls readily at hand).

Answer:	Sure. I have a fairly heavy comforter over the top. I rarely use the heat, but husband does all the time. No priblems.
Question:	Why would only one controller work
Answer:	I would go back to the people you bought it from. If they will replace it free of charge, do so. If you have to pay for it, don't bother. It isn't worth it. Mine quit after a month.
