Answer:	Its a pretty large piece of foam rubber. In a chair it might raise your legs higher than comfortable. My recliner already raises legs a bit. Another 8 inches would be too much. However, this pillow makes a good backrest to use with another pillow in bed.

Answer:	I received the pillow several weeks ago. The cover is 60% organic cotton and 40% polyester. The cover is removable via a zipper on the flat side and is machine washable in cold water. The filling inside the cover is 100% poly fiber fill and is not washable. The cover fabric is soft and dimpled; it is an ivory color rather than the white color it looks like in the picture. I use it under my knees at night and it is quite comfortable. I do not use it for my lower back, so I cannot evaluate it for that purpose. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
