Answer:	They are not firm. They claimed medium firm but when we put our heads on them they sunk down into the pillow and the pillow wrapped around our faces. We returned them immediately. Very disappointed.

Answer:	I would not say that this pillows is rated extra firm at all. But it is more of a soft pillow, but it does give support to the head and neck, where your head does not sink into the pillow. Answer:	I see "lauryl glucoside (vegetable derived), decyl glucoside (sugar soap)" in the ingredients. Both of those create lather but they are fairly gentle. You can look them up on the EWG website.
