Product description

Great for the rugged outdoors but also handy around the house, the Queen-sized Intex Prestige Downy Airbed is waterproof for camping use and its soft flocked top provides a luxurious sleeping surface. The mattress is constructed of a quality-tested, 20.8-gauge waterproof top with 14-gauge vinyl beams and 15-gauge sides and bottom for stability. The Prestige Downy Airbed is raised 8.75 inches from the floor, and at 60 by 8.75 by 80 inches (WxHxD) is an official Queen-sized bed--ensuring a tight fit for fitted sheets. User questions & answers

Question: Is the hand hold pump reliable?(I will use this mattress in the next camping). how many times can the batteries inflate the Queen Size one
Answer: The pump will easily fill Queen size mattress over the whole summer months and probably even next year. My last pump( before daughter lost it) went for over two years on original batteries.
Question: Can anybody tell me if a fresh set of batteries will operate the pump long enuff to inflate the mattress more than once
Answer: I have the twin version of this, and I've gotten at least a half dozen fills on one set of standard Rayovac batteries. Since the power switch is easy to accidentally trip, I'd suggest either removing the batteries completely from the pump when not in use or (what I did) keep something (I use a notecard on which I traced the pump's outline and cut out) on top of the batteries when in storage.
Question: How long does this take to inflate
Answer: I've never really timed it. Whith fresh batteries, maybe 5 minutes? If the batteries aren't as fresh, it takes a bit longer. All I know is it's never really very long. I usually just start it once my tent is set up and go about unpacking other things and just listen for the motor to change sounds, test the firmness then it's usually just a few more seconds after that.Seeing the update below, that may actually be more accurate. All I know it's not very long. Maybe the 5 min was with weaker batteries.
Question: I watched the video and am wondering, does the mattress come with a guitar
Answer: Lol! Nope......

User questions & answers

Question: Is there any Warranty
Answer: Yes - limited: applies to airbed only, to original owner, 90 days from date of purchase, manufacturing defect only. Most airbeds are no longer returnable in stores. I don't know about online purchases. We have a queen and a twin that we put together to create one huge BED!! And it helped my husband's back and knee pain.
Question: My bed is losing air and I cant find the source of the air lose. Any suggestions on how I can fit it
Answer: Sorry Ruth I have gone through 4 of the Intex air beds and none of them lasted longer than 2 weeks. Once it holds air after the first week then the bed gets a deformity and is very uncomfortable. The manufacturer does nothing to resolve these issues. Another unhappy customer
Question: does it have a top and a bottom portion as shown
Answer: I haven't used this in two months (bought it for my daughters apt.) but I recall it that it is only about 3 inches deep at most. It was enough to stick a fitted sheet into, making it much better than a standard (non-partitioned) blow-up.
Question: This product looks like there are 2 twin size mattresses - one stacked on top of the other. Are there 2 twin mattresses or 1 twin mattress? Thanks
Answer: Hi There! This is one mattress. It is dual chamber construction consists of I-Beams in the bottom chamber and coil beams in the upper chamber surrounded on the top and sides with a layer of inter-connected air cells.Hope this helps!7th Avenue Store

Intex Pillow Rest Raised Airbed with Built-in Pillow and Electric Pump, Twin, Bed Height 16.5"

Intex

Based on 9 reviews Check latest price

Product description

If the airbed has a leak you can find it and patch it But first check for the following Stretching is a natural characteristic of new vinyl and the first few times you use the mattress, some stretching will occur suggesting that the mattress is losing air. It is simply stretching under your body weight and this is normal for the first few uses. To check the mattress for leaks, first make sure the valves are secure, replace it if necessary. You can also put liquid soap and water in a squirt bottle and spray on seams. If there is a leak it will bubble. (Laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent will not work; they do not have the "bubbling" effect) After you find the leak, clean and dry the leaking area, remove the flocking with fine sand paper or an emery board, then apply the repair patch that comes with your airbed. Alternatively, you may purchase an Intex repair kit (#59632) for additional patches.

Offering all the benefits of the Intex Raised Downy airbed but with the added advantage of lighter weight and mid-rise height, the Intex Pillow Rest inflatable airbed is ideal for travelers who want the comforts of a bed but the convenience of a blow-up mattress. The resulting surface is comfortable and secure, whether you're sleeping at the in-laws' overcrowded house or setting up a guest bed in the basement. In addition, the Pillow Rest is remarkably easy to inflate thanks to the built-in, high-powered electric pump, which does its job in a mere three minutes. The Pillow Rest--which offers a capacity of 300 pounds--comes with an AC power cord, a shoulder strap, and a duffel bag.

User questions & answers

Question: Does it automatically stop pumping air in once it is full or it has to be manually stopped
Answer: Sincere ps: We specialize in providing electric air pump for this intex bed with 110V AC input/12V DC output- certificated and for safety inflating. You may check the linking: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J1ACN3Q
Question: how does it deflate
Answer: The pump operates in both directions. If you set it to deflate and then flip the switch, it will suck out the air.
Question: After airing up, is there something to close? Son's bed, and he is 80 pounds, keeps losing air through the night
Answer: The nozzle by the on/off switch needs to be turned completely to closed. If it still loses air, you got a lemon and should contact Amazon to replace it. That's what happened to me. First use with m 130 lb son and it lost air. Replacement held my 200lb hubby and didn't lose any air.
Question: is there any way to bypass the electric airpump. I plan on using this camping, and might need to us some other pump to inflate it
Answer: It is possible to bypass the built-in electric pump by using either a manual pump or a battery powered pump. The included instructions show that this is possible. If you look at the photo that shows the pump, you can see a hole through the middle of the dial (which is used to inflate/deflate the bed). The pump that you end up using must have a hose outlet that can fit through that hole. As for camping, please make sure you have a large enough tent - this is a big bed. Yes, it's only a twin size, but it's quite high off the ground.

User questions & answers

Question: Does thid mattress have. Fiber tech
Answer: Hi Barbara,We actually bought this for a client who needed some modifications to a memory foam mattress. It fit well for him. There are so many kinds of foam products out there though the key thing is being sure you buy a pad that will fit the depth of your mattress. Measuring should be fairly simple and just be sure to order the right size of pad. Good luck! www.pamelahopedesigns.com
Question: This mattress isn't smooth on top like a regular mattress. Can you feel the ripples and are they uncormfotable
Answer: The mattress pad is quite deep. I have a King size mattress with a pillow top and found that this mattress pad was generous with its fit.
Question: good for full time bed
Answer: It's definitely not as cool as w/out a pad (at least for my mattress designed to be cool). It's not crazy, and I don't mind since it's November, but once summer approaches it may be annoyingly warm.
Question: Do I need to purchase an air pump to inflate this
Answer: It does sleep hot to a noticeable extent. It's not crazy, and I don't mind since it's November -- but for me I'll most likely have to buy something all-cotton for the summer. Re softness, a bit but not much. It's not all that thick.

User questions & answers

Question: What’s the difference between this one and the older model
Answer: The way the inside of the bed is made. I accidentally over filled the older model and popped the sewn seems. This one has beams in it. It's sturdier, harder to put a whole in, the built in pump is better and it's a lot more comfortable.
Question: Is this good for camping
Answer: You would have to have an electrical outlet to inflate it. It plugs in. And you would have to make sure there was nothing that would poke a hole in it. It is a very thick plastic but it could be punctured. You cannot blow it up yourself. It has an internal pump that plugs in to an electric outlet. You might be able to get a connector and plug it into your cigarette lighter thing in the car with the car engine on.
Question: How much weight will it support
Answer: Well I weight 200lbs, and it supports me very well
Question: Some reviews mention "flippin" - onto the floor? Please describe
Answer: I woke up stuck between the couch and the mattress. Everytime I tried to get back up on the mattress, it literally flipped me back on the floor. Evidently there was a leak somewhere and that made it dangerous. Im disabled with cancer, so it was a lot of fun wrestling on the floor with a damn mattress and having to crawl across the floor to get to a place where I could pull myself up. I've owned other air mattresses and had great sleeping experiences. I slept great, just ended up with a busted ear drum and black and blue knees. To bad I didn't have any fun earning them.

User questions & answers

Question: Can this be manually inflated with external pump
Answer: There is no “port” for an external pump that I can see. You “might” be able to use the air intake/exhaust port but I’m not sure. Hope that helps! BTW - very comfy mattress!!
Question: Can this be inflated with external air pump? Going camping and will only have access to a battery powered air pump
Answer: All the other answers saying no are incorrect. You CAN inflate this with an external pump. To do so, you just flip the switch to inflate (or deflate if thats what you're doing) and then insert your pump hose into air intake valve and it will work! Just make sure to turn the switch back to off when you're done to close the valve.
Question: Does the bed maintain the inflation during use
Answer: I found that for the first few nights I had to add a little more air, but then it Maintained air. I use it every night, and have slept on it for 9 months
Question: Does the headboard keep you from using a fitted sheet? I know it’s a deeper mattress but worried about the headboard stopping that
Answer: Was able to place fitted sheet without issue. If you have a deeper fitted sheet or king size, that will work better if your goal is to cover most of the mattress on the sides. A regular queen size sheet will go about halfway down the mattress though which is still enough to cover the top and won't slide off. It's very easy to place even with the headboard since it's also inflatable and you can reach between it and the mattress easily.

User questions & answers

Question: I've been through two of these and on the first night they lose air and are unusable. This was on carpet- not chance of punctures. What am I missing
Answer: Only on the top. And I would get last years model, more comfy
Question: Internal pump means you plug it in and it will inflate on its on
Answer: There are "ripples" in the top, however, you don't really feel them. The mattress is very comfortable. I would recommend it anytime.
Question: What is the difference between the standard and deluxe
Answer: It comes with a built in electric air pump to inflate/deflate. Be careful not to over inflate!!! When the instructions say 3 minutes, they mean THREE minutes. As stated in the instructions, the first time you inflate, it will appear to lose air, as the product finishes stretching out. Follow the instructions on when to add a little more air. I use a lot of Intex inflatables, mattresses, pillows, kayaks included. My mattresses that I use DAILY last at least 3-4 years. And I only need to add minimum additional air 3 or 4 times a year. My mattress that I use less often-for camping only, must be at least 8 yrs old now, and doesn’t need topping off on air after I inflate it, like my previous camping mattresses did. My kayak, which I use 3 or 4 times a week, April through October, just finished its 4th year, and is ready to start year 5 in a couple months. The most common reason for problems with the Intex inflatables, are due to not following inflating instructions and over inflating. In the opinion of this indoor/outdoor inflatable enthusiast, the Intex brand of inflatables are the best on the market for value, durability and being easy to use.
