Answer:	It MUST be attached to a structural member, 2 x 4, to provide the stability required. If the fiberglass shower has those supports and this is mounted on them it is OK. But attached to the fiberglass itself will fail the first time the bar is used for support by a person.

Answer:	The suction cups need a totally flat surface to be able to attach firmly, the grout lines between the tiles prevented this because the tiles in my bathroom are too small.
