Answer:	The total depth is 3 1/2". But there is about a 1/4" lip on the back (to secure to the wall) and 1/4" lip in the front to hold your stuff in the tray. We have been really happy with our ledge - we use it as a catch - all tray under a push pin board and on top of a chalk board

Answer:	Depending on the weight of the shoes, and how you secure it to the wall. Yes! Mine are holding 5 LB of weight right now.

Answer:	There are hangers on the back of each shelf, but it does not come with separate mounting hardware. You would need to assess the surface where you want to mount them, and find the appropriate fastener, i.e. a drywall anchor / wood screw / etc. etc.

Answer:	The best answer is that it depends how you fold your towels. Each shelf measures 11.75 in. x 10.25 in. x 2 in. And each one holds 7 lbs of weight. If your folded towels fit into these dimensions - that's the ultimate way to tell if it would work! Hope that helps!!

Answer:	Yes. The over the door hook is plastic and quite sturdy. And fits over a regular sized under the sink, kitchen cabinet door.

Answer:	It's pretty sturdy but if you want to put it outside, I would spray it with a sealer to help prevent rusting. Also, definitely mount it with screws. The plastic hanging bars will not hold up to rough use.
