Answer: The one end (with the solid ring) does have a set screw. Once the rod is cut to size and the ends added prior to mounting to the wall, the rod can not come out without removing the brackets from the wall.

Answer: Don't know- mine is hung on a wall
Question: Is the counter top towel bar sturdy enough from tipping over with a towel hanging on it
Answer: Yes, it looks like bar can be unscrewed and removed. I haven't done it but looks like that would work.
Question: What are the measurements of the base? Does it lay flat on the counter surface
Answer: They are mounted using screws to a mounting plate and the bar is locked on the plate via an Allen screw. Allen wrench is included with Molly’s. I give it a 5 star

Question: How do you load the toilet paper
Answer: Hi, Kathy. My hand towels, when folded in half (13”-14.5”), are too long for this towel holder by at least 2”. Additionally, a hand towel is too wide when fully unfolded and draped over the “T”. And fingertip towels are not easy to find any more! However, because I liked the design of this towel holder, I searched around and discovered that Neiman Marcus (online) offers a variety of fingertip towels. Hope this helps!
