Answer:	Couldn't say about sitting or laying on this strip. I never sit in the tub or I wouldn't be able to get up. I can say that it has enough traction to keep from slipping and falling, but is not overly abrasive. I wouldn't think it would be uncomfortable to sit on. It stays in place, easy to clean and covers most of the tub bottom. You do need to be very careful about application. If your tub is peeling, it would likely be wise to scrape off peeling pieces and perhaps smooth the rest with a sanding block. Clean off all residue and let it dry completely before applying the product. You may want to investigate having the tub refinished.
