Answer:	It is just like putting a towel on the floor (but thicker). It has no grip or rubber to hold it in place. I have not had a problem with it slipping out from under me but I step down onto it. I am not sure if I would use this around some one who tends to fall a lot and has balance issues. I will state that I have been using bath mats for 30 years and have never had a problem with one slipping out from under me.

Answer:	They are very thick - thicker and heavier than a bath towel, i.e. can't use it as an actual towel, definitely a mat. But not sure if the floor would stay dry if stepping out of shower totally wet since I towel dry partially in shower before exiting.

Answer:	The highest rod is 37 inches from the floor, and the lower rod is 35.5 inches from floor. I can hang my large towels from either one. My face cloth hangs on the curve. Still a great towel holder!

Answer:	I have had this unit for almost 10 years. I think it's great. I have found it to be sturdy without the bar. I don't want the bar there bc I want to move it to clean without taking it apart. I just left the bar off. This thing has gone through three moves two of which it had to be taken apart for. I'm finally buying another one bc ours is outside being used for spa supplies. That was supposed to be temporary while we had work done to the house but I'm too lazy to clean it and it's not worth $20 to me to clean it instead of just buying another one.
