Answer:	I haven't had a problem with excess gases. Though, I do split the recommended dose of 2 capsules. One with breakfast and the other at dinner.

Answer:	You can not "open" this pill like a normal capsule that pulls apart into two pieces. You can however snip an end and empty the oil into/onto something so you can ingest the fish oil without swallowing a pill. I do this for one of my dogs who doesn't like to chew the capsule like my other dog who eats ANYthing, lol.

Answer:	It is a good idea to refrigerate your omega-3 oils (except krill oil) because the many double-bonds in polyunsaturated fats are weak bonds meaning they oxidize easily and the fat goes bad. I keep my omega-3 oils in a glass mason jar (impermeable to moisture and oxygen) in the freezer and swallow the pills while still frozen. Don't freeze or refrigerate krill oil though; the phospholipids will separate from the omega-3s and having those two connected is part of the point of krill oil.
