D2 (ergocalciferol) can be found, in some plants/fungus. D3 (cholecalciferol) is the sunlight form, and can also be obtained from animals that manufactured it through their skin, like that in fish liver. Answer:	Just finished reading about vitamin K and all the different types from 'Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox'. Excellent book I must say. Your doctor must have been refering to MK-4 version of Vitamin K2 which has a half life of 1 hour i.e. you have 1/2 of amoun ingested after 1 hour, so you definitely need a lot. The MK-7 version of vitamin K2 has a much longer half life and hence you don't need as much. Today's medicare and doctors are extremely ignorant unfortunately.

Answer:	This is not a common question, we don’t specify on our labels. The manufacturer of MenaQ7® makes 4 types: NOW offers the “Natural MK-7” fermented from chickpeas. Other products offered by the same producer include a second type made from soybeans (“Natto MK-7”), a third one that’s a nature-identical synthetic and not made from fermented beans (“PharmaPure MK-7”), and a fourth one that provides several isomers (MK-6, MK-7, and MK-9) derived from fermented chickpeas (“Full Spectrum K2).

There is no provision here to attach photos, so I will have to describe the new label, and the new list of ingredients.The capsules now contain NO gelatin. On the new label, the ingredients are listed as follows: "Vitamin C (2mg), Vitamin K2 (100 mcg)(as Menaquinone-7)(MK-7)(from Non-GMO Natto); Other Ingredients: Rice Flour, Cellulose (capsule) and Silica. Contains soy. Not manufactured with wheat, gluten, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, or tree nut ingredients." Answer:	There are around 100 different forms of vitamin K-2 (within the Menaquinone family-each designated "MK-#") available. Thus, if a bottle of vitamin K2 does not designate that it is "K-2 MK-7", then the form of vitamin K2 is most likely MK-1 or MK-4, both of which are quite inexpensively manufactured synthetically. Also, MK-7 is: harvested from NATTO (MK-7 is naturally produced by the bacteria that grow on fermented soy beans aka: NATTO); about 20 times more efficient/effective than other forms of vitamin K-2; and, though the bottles may say "contains soy", we've never heard of anyone having a soy reaction to MK-7 because it is harvested from the bacteria from NATTO not the soy itself. Respectively, when we buy vitamin K-2, we only use MK-7.

Answer:	LiveWell Labs.... A suggestion...you might want to explain how the lanolin is processed so that people don't think this is an unnatural source of D3.. I had to look it up because, truthfully, I had no idea how common this derivative is; I thought the only true resource was from lichen or fish oil. A quick overview: when scientists create vitamin D from lanolin with the help of ultraviolet light, they partially mimic the natural process in your body that produces vitamin D when you expose your skin to sunlight. Both processes produce vitamin D-3, and fish oil also contains this form of the vitamin. Both synthesized D-3 and D-3 from food act the same way in your body, according to the National Institutes of Health's Office of Dietary Supplements. They also have slight chemical differences from another form of the vitamin called vitamin D-2, which comes from plants or plant-based sources. Now that I know this is not a "weird" source of D3, I'll be purchasing this product to try....
