Answer:	Terrible pain from right hip bursitis and couldn't get an Ortho appt. for a month. I started reading and found that this might help. So yesterday I took 6 each of 40,000 SPU that I had stored in my "supply", actually forgetting why I had them. WELL, I had less pain during the night and when I got up to walk, the pain was just about cut in half. I couldn't believe it and now I am a believer! Yesterday I ordered the High Potency, 120,000 SPU from Amazon and they were delivered this AM by USPS -- I couldn't believe that either! Pushing on the bursa, it is still sore but walking without a limp was so much less painful. In fact, an enzyme can still have a weight even if it has been destroyed and has zero activity. When comparing enzymes, if you want apples-to-apples comparisons between supplements, then you need to compare activity levels.

Used three caps in AM on empty stomach. after about 4 days my excruciating and disabling pain was pretty much gone! I went ahead and took the pills for 30 days even though the bulk of the pain was gone. In the past year I think I've used it three additional different times when I started having some pain (but it was never the excruciating/disabling pain again), and the longest I took it was one week at a time. I do not trust Chinese products as they sell products to USA consumers with additives that are banned in Europe. Dimethylfumate (DMF) is put in fabrics, leather and other goods so they can ship to USA and avoid mold. DMF causes severe rashes which have become epidemic according to American Academy of Dermatology. China does not seem to care about harm done to US citizens. Also, since Europe has passed laws to protect their citizens, I do not understand why we continue to receive dangerous products with no protests.

Answer:	I am taking it to shrink fibroids. I have not had a new ultra sound to check. But doctor could not feel as many last time I had check up. I have been taking this for a year, 2 a day away from food - one in morning and one at bedtime.

Answer:	No, it is not. It is 130,000 SU per capsule. If you want the flashily advertised 260,000 you have to take 2 capsules. I make it a point to never again buy from a company who deliberately highlights misleading information. Notice the number of people leaving comments who, even after taking the product, are not aware they didn't actually receive 260k per cap. The issue is not the quality of the product. Did you buy because you thought you were getting 260,000SU per cap? If so, you only received half of what you paid for.

Answer:	SPU (or SU) stands for "Serrapeptase Units," a measure of this enzyme's activity. I compare it to a volt as a measure of a battery's power. A 6 volt battery is obviously more powerful than a 1.5 volt one. The SPU is specific for Serrapeptase since other, more common units, such as milligrams, and International Units, can be meaningless since they don't factor in its activity.
