Answer:	No, it just comes in a regular box. Heat,as you know, can damage the sensitive probiotic cultures. This is one reason why I have switched away from traditional probiotics like these, and instead now take sporebiotics. Spore type of probiotics are not affected by heat.

Answer:	The back of the box says 25 billion CFU total. Question:	why aren't they refrigerated? I use them now and would NEVER use them if they were shipped unrefrigerated. That's the most important thing
Answer:	I am cautious as well. I phoned the company about this issue. The live microbes withstand a relatively high temperature for a period of time ( I think two weeks) so they can be shipped without ice packs. Prior to opening, they should be stored in a cool, dry place ( below 77 degrees I think). The way to tell if they are still viable is to open the bottle and check the color. They should be a nice cream color. If they are too dark and look yellow or brown, they are either old or have not been stored well or were in too much heat for too long, etc. But, the color is the best way to tell. When they arrive I always put them in the refrigerator.
Question:	My order arrived on a hot day, and the box and the vitamins were hot when I opened the package. I'm wondering if that killed the active cultures
Answer:	I cut and paste the following out of my amazon review of this product: I was very nervous about purchasing online because of the refrigeration issue but went ahead and ordered with 2 day shipping. After taking them for several days I read an answered question on Amazon about a "milk test". It said you could open a capsule into some milk, and if it was live probiotics, it would curdle in 20 minutes. I decided to research this and found several things online. However, 20 minutes will not do the trick. Depending on the probiotic, it can take anywhere from 12-48 hours. I got two glasses and filled each with a 1/4 cup of milk. One glass was left untouched, the other I opened a RenewLife capsule into. After 18 hours the glass with the renewlife looked like custard and smelled like sour milk. The glass with plain milk remained unchanged. Success! Google "milk test for probiotics" and you'll find several sources including video.

Answer:	It wouldn’t hurt! I’d recommend giving them a few drops of Angostura bitters, that can definitely help with diarrhea.
Question:	Is Saccaromyces boulardii the first bacteria listed on the ingredient list? I know it is on Primal Defense Ultra but not sure about this one
Answer:	No that is not even on this list unless it is a variation. The Garden of Life Raw Probiotic 100 billion (according to their g of l website) has somw saccaromyces but it is toward the bottom of the list. They have Saccaromyces unisporus, Saccaromyces turicensis, Saccaromyces cerevisiae, and Saccaromyces exiguus. So if that is something you like I would suggest to keep using the Primal Defence. Which I might try if there is about the same if not more of these ingrediants to help digestion. :) But I personally do like the 100 billion raw probiotics. I took my last one Saturday and bought a store brand because I couldn't afford it this month and I think I can feel the difference. The cheaper stuff just isn't the same let a lone they don't come in 100 billion. But this pay day I should have enough to at least get ultimate flora brand that has 50 billion. Answer:	This is the answer from Brenda Watson, founder of Renew Life, that was posted on her website. "While our warehouse is temperature controlled, we do not ship under refrigeration. Question:	Does this brand require refrigeration? I'm looking for one to travel with
Answer:	Regardless of what the company says, for any probiotic to be effective it should not be in temperatures over 72 F. Period. Riding in a UPS truck to deliver when it has been as hot as it has been lately in Los Angeles for example, let alone in hotter places. I think it is very disingenuous for the head of the company to say saying it does not have to be shipped with dry ice or some form of temperature control. As a very long purchaser of Renew Life, after seeing the head of the company say it isn't necessary to refrigerate product is shameful. I did test the product as suggested the day after arrival and it in no way firmed up AT ALL like yogurt. If there is no dry ice or other form of keeping the bottle 70 F or below, at best lessens the amount of probiotic yo are getting. And even though they supposedly allow for some lessening of strength, sitting in a truck with temperatures outside in the 90s, you are getting a really inferior product.

Answer:	I couldn't find any warning to refrigerate on the label. But the label has so much small print, it could be there and I can't see it. And I wear glasses and have perfect vision.
