Answer:	Try a different sd card and make sure it is fast enough for the read/write capabilities you want one with at least 95 mbs write speed and class 10 v30. If it meets those specs and it is still freezing then send it back for another one. ALL GOPROs are notorious for freezing during recording and I have to pull the battery out and put it back in (this mostly happens with 3rd party batteries) I own the Hero 4 5 and 6 Black and they all do this from time to time...so I make sure I am recording prior to the activity I want to record.
