Answer:	The turmeric capsule is pretty typical in size for a gel-type. Maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch long and slender and yes, you can open in to mix in liquid.

Answer:	I think what people are asking is basically "does this provide a standardized % of curcumin?" The answer is yes,it does- it is 20%. The reason for this is because of the transport/bioavailability/adsorption of the delivery system Meriva (as G. Parr commented on). According to their website: " Meriva® is a patented formulation of curcumin, a dietary phenolic, with soy lecithin (non-GMO). The two compounds form a non-covalent adduct in a 1:2 weight ratio, and two parts of microcrystalline cellulose are then added to improve formulation, with an overall contents of curcumin of 20%." Basically, if you take tumeric without some type of way to deliver the active component (curcumin) to your intestines, it will not provide enough curcumin to get into your bloodstream for use in your body. This is primarily due to the natural way tumeric breaks down- it is water soluble and most of the active part (curcumin) is destroyed in the acidic stomach acids, not making it's way into the intestines for bioavailability. I read many scientific articles regarding tumeric as well as the different delivery systems available. In the most basic terms- tumeric needs a fat combined with it to get into your bloodstream and work. Question:	How long did it take to start feeling a difference after you started taking the pills
Answer:	Taking turmeric is likened to taking Ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatories, but you don't pop a pill when you feel pain or swelling as you do with Ibuprofen. Turmeric should be taken daily, or regularly, so there is always some in your system. If you feel pain or swelling, you can take more pills until you feel some relief. I take turmeric daily, so most of my smaller aches and pains have simply disappeared over the course of several days or a week. If I feel my lymph nodes swelling because of allergies (I live in a location with extremely high pollen count), the swelling and pain goes down within an hour or two of taking one pill. *This information is based on what I recall reading online and on my own experience taking the supplement. My friend takes many pills (2 or 3 extra) when he feels a flareup from MS coming on, and this keeps the flareup from becoming actual, debilitating pain. Taking turmeric after the flareup has crippled his joints is not nearly as effective.

I cannot tell you if it is organic or not but it is a 'natural' diuretic. I wanted to cut back on my prescription BP meds because they all have side effects of one kind or another. When you first start, you can take 1-2 capsules a day but once it gets into your system - after a few weeks - cut back to 1 capsule a day or even 1 every other day - unless you want to spend your days in the bathroom peeing.
