Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) is naturally produced in the human body in very small amounts, but is also available in some foods. ALA is unique in that it can function in both water and fat environments. ALA promotes the production of glutathione and can also recycle vitamins C and E, thereby enhancing their antioxidant activities. In addition, ALA may help to maintain healthy neural tissues, promote proper glucose metabolism and support healthy cardiovascular function. This extra strength product has more alpha lipoic acid (600 mg per capsule) than our regular strength product (100 mg per capsule). Bioperine is a registered trademark of Sabinsa Corporation. Question:	Does this product contain soy
Answer:	This product is not manufactured with wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients. It is produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.
Question:	Will this relieve symptoms of non-diabetic-caused neuropathy in the feet
Answer:	This helped for awhile, but then it didn't. I have found relief from neuropathy in my feet with EB-N5, which you will need to talk to your doctor about. It takes a couple of weeks for it to kick in, but after that it works great.
Question:	Is this product rala or sala
Answer:	This is the racemic RS-ALA, which is the primary form of ALA used in clinical trials since it was first investigated in the 1980s. Racemic ALA is stable, safe, and effective, with a much larger body of evidence in peer-reviewed science than the R- form. R-ALA is inherently unstable except for certain patented forms that cost several times as much as generic ones; the generic forms may degrade rapidly in the bottle within weeks or months to become racemic RS-ALA and not meet label claim re: form. RS-ALA is half R-form and about half as effective as R-ALA, but at only a fraction of the price of the stable R-ALA materials. Both R-ALA and RS-ALA are synthetically produced (synthesized forms), not extracted from food.

Answer:	I have taken this product for years and it has relieved my numbness and sensitivity to cold in my feet from diabetes. However I don't know what country the ingredients come from. I went online to Now and sent customer service and asked them if they could tell me. They will be sending me a reply within the next few days. Is there a way I can contact you to send their reply?
