In another answered question a person states that this contains maltodextrin (guess they found this out from the manufacturer) which is corn derived. This makes sense since the manufacturer hasn't claimed it's freeze dried, which they would if it was because the quality would be something to brag about since it costs more to make than spray dried and doesn't use maltodextrin as a drying agent. So if you like the chance that you're consuming a possible GMO corn product, you've found the right powder for you. Bottoms up!

Here is how I get this figure: 65 mg x 8 = 520 mg AND 90 mg x 8 = 720 mg - I times the milligrams by 8 because the product says one serving is 800% of the recommended daily value. I wrote to the company and here is their reply, "Our Acerola has 600mg Vc /scoop." One of their scoops is 3.2 grams so Nature Man is correct! 1 scoop = 3.2 grams = 600 mg. Divide 600 mg by 3 = 200 mg per gram (rounding up ever so slightly!).

Answer:	You do not need to drink it right away. If fact letting it sit for awhile (about 10-20 mins) helps to get it down. You will not need to mix it in a gallon of water (that is way too much). I would start off by mixing 3 tbsp in 1/2 to 1 cup of water. If a bowel movement is not produced within 1-2 hours repeat and you should achieve bowel tolerance. Do not drink through out the day or you will never get off the toliet.

Fwiw, real liposomal C can only be made using ascorbic acid dissolved in water, which is then lipolyzed with pure phosphatidylcholine. Lecithin doesn't form liposomes. There is some PC in lecithin, but only that portion of lecithin that is PC can make lipsomal C. Liposomal C can never be as effective as a nutrient as this powder because this is whole food C with copper and other minerals that are missing in ascorbic acid. Answer:	If 20% is good, more must be better, right? Not necessarily. A medical university that did studies on the percentages of vitamin c applied topically concluded that 15% is the minimum to see results and 20% percent maximum for best results. Anything under 15 is about useless and above 20 won't absorb into the dermis. I've used 30% before but got no better result than a 20%. I don't think 60% would be beneficial and may strip your skin or even damage and or discolor it.

Answer:	It's true that absorption of oral dosages is not comparable to IV administration. It has been claimed that Lypospheric C absorption is close to IV administration. But you can make oral administration more effective and almost reach IV levels by taking just plain C crystals (like this one) more frequently. Experts like Dr. Levy and Andrew Saul call this the 'Dynamic Flow Theory'. So just take more frequent doses of oral C. Note that taking a lot in one dose is not really recommended. Also, if you are ill, your body can absorb more of the vitamin orally.

Vitamin c is a key compound in the body's "antioxidant network," a chain of synergistic, inextricability linked, well-studied antioxidants that includes glutathione (GSH) and vitamin e. When vitamin e uses its antioxidant function in neutralizing free radicals, it also loses this antioxidant function. Vitamin c can change this status; it can regenerate vitamin e back to its native form, and is thought to "spare" glutathione in the body as well. Importantly, when ascorbate donates an electron and becomes itself oxidized, or "consumed," the ascorbate radical is relatively harmless. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study in which blood GSH was measured in healthy subjects at several stages, 500 mg of vitamin c taken daily for 2 weeks significantly raised erythrocyte (red blood cell) glutathione levels. The researchers concluded that vitamin c supplementation at that level can benefit the overall antioxidant capacity of the blood.

Answer:	The label indicates it was manufactured in Scotland. Unless they are giving false information on the label, I will have to assume that it is true. I have been unable to find another vitamin c powder that is certified non-GMO that is not made in China from corn, it seems to work fine for me, no colds or flus or infections for over 2 years since I have been taking it. I suggest you contact Doctors Best directly with any questions, if you can trust what they tell you. Hope this is of help. The main thing is to avoid vitamins from China.

As for its solubility in water, it dissolves almost instantly in hot water.
