Answer:	Terrible pain from right hip bursitis and couldn't get an Ortho appt. for a month. I started reading and found that this might help. So yesterday I took 6 each of 40,000 SPU that I had stored in my "supply", actually forgetting why I had them. WELL, I had less pain during the night and when I got up to walk, the pain was just about cut in half. I couldn't believe it and now I am a believer! Answer:	Be suspicious of any enzyme formula that lists the mgs of enzymes present as opposed to the activity level of each enzyme in the formula. Activity level determines overall effect. Two batches of the same enzyme of equal weight can have wildly different activity levels. The bottom line is that when it comes to enzymes, weight measurements are just not useful and can be downright misleading, as there is no direct relationship between weight and units of activity. In fact, an enzyme can still have a weight even if it has been destroyed and has zero activity. When comparing enzymes, if you want apples-to-apples comparisons between supplements, then you need to compare activity levels.

I had a small clot which lodged in my lungs, and they prescribed blood thinner Warfrin along with the side effects. Answer:	The answer was inadequate. If the capsules are not enteric coated, the serrapeptase can be degraded by ones digestive enzymes. If taking for a serious health condition, it would be wise to shop for an enteric coated capsule.
Question:	meaning of SPUs
Answer:	SPU (or SU) stands for "Serrapeptase Units," a measure of this enzyme's activity. I compare it to a volt as a measure of a battery's power. A 6 volt battery is obviously more powerful than a 1.5 volt one. The SPU is specific for Serrapeptase since other, more common units, such as milligrams, and International Units, can be meaningless since they don't factor in its activity. Following through on the metaphor, that would be like saying that a battery's power (actually electric potential) is dependent on its weight. Sometimes, but not always.

Not as tiny as some of the antibiotics out there (for comparison), but definitely not "horse" sized like some of the fiber ones I've choked down.They are 22 millimeters long x 6 mm wide (my best attempt with tape measure, not manufacturer's specs)I have another supplement here (Ibuactin PM) that is what I consider med-large, and it's 23 x 8. Doesn't sound like much of a difference, but for something relatively small that's quite a difference in pill size.I feel confident that if you can swallow any capsules at all you can handle this one.Best wishes and God bless

Answer:	Serrapeptase is an enzyme involved in clearing the body of undesireable non-living tissue. It breaks down protein as associated with blood vessel plaque, cysts, blood clots, and scar tissue, and prevents fibrin build-up. It also works to rid the body of excess mucus, thereby making is useful as an anti-inflammatory and anti-edemic; as such, it improves the immune system. Unlike a prescription drug which is taken to alleviate a single targeted symptom, enzymes impart numerous effects and impact more than one organ or system. Therefore, I'd suggest reading the comments concerning the reasons for using this product and the results achieved. More highly, I recommend doing an internet search and personal research concerning this enzyme. You are the one best able to accurately relate what you're experiencing to the information you find, and can then make a sound decision for yourself.

Question:	Have anyone uses this for acne
Answer:	I started taking this for hormonal acne, obsessed with finding a way to manage it after I got off birth control pills and my face $#%@% exploded. I began to cut out dairy products and limit animal products. It seemed to help a little...I wanted more so I started on primrose oil. Within a few weeks, I definitely saw a difference in my skin. I'm so happy. My face isn't 100% clear but this is the first thing I've tried that seems to be really working! The small amount of pimples I get seem to heal much quicker. Tips: Taking this product with zinc or vitamin c will aid in its efficacy. The power product in this is GLA which in primrose oil is mostly converted to DGLA (aids in reduction of inflammation). A small amount of it may be converted to AA which can promote inflammation (AA is primarily found in animal products), but ensuring you have a healthy diet adequate in nutrients (particularly zinc, vitamin c, b3, b6, & magnesium) helps the chances of GLA conversion to DGLA instead of to AA, preventing inflammation and thus better managing your acne. Answer:	Good quality EPO has helped me with PMS- it won't be all sunshine and roses, but there is definitely less irritability and moodiness when I take it. Remember though, everyone responds differently, so once you're not allergic to the oil try it and see if it works for you!
