Source Naturals Krill Oils is a dietary supplement that falls under the category of blended vitamin and mineral supplements, specifically in the field of vitamins and dietary supplements for health and wellness. Here's what you should know about Source Naturals Krill Oils:

  1. Source of Krill Oil: Krill oil is derived from tiny shrimp-like crustaceans known as krill, which are found in the cold waters of the Antarctic Ocean.Krill oil is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

  3. Health Benefits: Source Naturals Krill Oils is marketed as a supplement that provides the health benefits associated with omega-3 fatty acids. These benefits may include support for heart health, joint health, brain function, and overall well-being.

However, some people prefer krill oil due to its potential advantages, such as being less likely to cause fishy aftertastes or burping, and its potential to be more easily absorbed by the body.

  5. Antioxidant Properties: Krill oil may also contain astaxanthin, a natural antioxidant that can help protect the oil from oxidation and maintain its quality.

  6. Formulation: Source Naturals Krill Oils typically comes in softgel capsules, making it easy to incorporate into your daily supplement routine. The softgel format is also designed to help preserve the stability of the krill oil.

  7. Dosage: The recommended dosage of Source Naturals Krill Oils can vary based on the specific product and individual needs. It's important to follow the dosage instructions provided on the product label or as directed by a healthcare professional.

  8. Quality and Purity: When choosing any dietary supplement, including krill oil, it's essential to consider the quality and purity of the product. Look for reputable brands like Source Naturals that adhere to good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety and efficacy.

  9. Consultation: Before adding any dietary supplement to your daily routine, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are taking medications, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional to determine if it's appropriate for your individual needs.

In summary, Source Naturals Krill Oils is a dietary supplement that provides the potential health benefits associated with omega-3 fatty acids derived from krill. It is designed to support overall health and wellness, particularly in areas such as cardiovascular health, joint health, and brain function. User questions & answers

Question: Does this need to be refrigerated? I'm worried that if I order this on Amazon that there would be significant heat exposure during delivery
Answer: It is a good idea to refrigerate your omega-3 oils (except krill oil) because the many double-bonds in polyunsaturated fats are weak bonds meaning they oxidize easily and the fat goes bad. I keep my omega-3 oils in a glass mason jar (impermeable to moisture and oxygen) in the freezer and swallow the pills while still frozen. Don't freeze or refrigerate krill oil though; the phospholipids will separate from the omega-3s and having those two connected is part of the point of krill oil.

User questions & answers

Question: how big is the pill
Answer: Yes, the doctor that had me tested (LabCorp) for MTHFR mutation several years ago prescribed seven pills a day of folinic acid when the test came back positive, which I've been doing ever since. He also prescribed methylcobalamin.
Question: is this gluten free
Answer: Glen A Jacquart, I hope that you never say what you wrote again. You are so wrong. I cannot even begin to tell you all of the problems that I have if I eat gluten and I do not have celiac. When I used to eat gluten, I was diagnosed with IBS, CFS, high cholesterol, bp, and sugar. Now, I don't have any of it--the only thing that I changed is not eating wheat. You need to keep your opinion to yourself.
Question: Is this truly folinic acid? Or just folic acid
Answer: This is not Folic Acid. Folic Acid is a synthetic compound (not bioavailable), and you will find it in some supplements and fortified foods. Folic Acid is then broken down by the body into bioavailable forms of Folate. This product, Folinic Acid, is already in a bioavailable form of Folate that does not need to be broken down by the body.
Question: Does anyone notice a difference between folinic acid and methylfolate
Answer: Yes. Folinic acid helps me feel less anxious. Methylfolate does not have this effect for me, and helps me focus, most noticeably. I feel considerably better with methylfolate, while folinic acid has a more subtle effect. I am homozygous C677T and take both daily.
