That exact compound may not be strictly "natural", but nitrates certainly are. It allows blood vessels to relax and widen, thereby increasing blood flow throughout the body. Answer:	The capsules are easy to swallow. I have yet to crack one open, so no idea on taste of medicine inside. You surely can open a capsule and add the powder to apple sauce, if you choose. Not sure if its time released,however, which could be problematic if added to apple sauce. Hope this helps!
