Answer:	The silicone is the better one the ultra is petroleum based and will make some rubbers swell dispite what it states on the label

Answer:	I used it on everything and after advice from Permatex company. You dont need any other Lubricant for any part of brake job. Goes well with rubber, heat, water etc. Used it on the surface area, pads, all rubber parts and brake pins.
Question:	However do you open it? its sealed on top
Answer:	definitely a no no, I assume your trying to install caliber pistons, only brake fluid should be used inside of the brake system, caliber, wheel cylinder etc. Anything else will swell rubber seals in a brake system and cause leakage and failure. You can cut a strips of plastic say 2 inches wide and long enough to wrap around the piston with very little overlap to help slide the pistons in. Rebuilders lube the seal and piston up liberally with brake fluid and push them in using the a piece of wood like the end of a hammer, just be careful about rocking the piston when pushing in you can cut a seal doing that. This stuff is meant only for caliber slide bolts or pins, or where the ends of pads where they slide on the caliber or brake shoes where they rub against the backing plate. Use sparingly where there are rubbing surfaces so they it doesn't get on the brake pad/shoe surface. If your thinking about the exterior portion of the piston it isn't necessary and actually accumulate brake residue etc and possible seize the piston down the road

Answer:	i only know of the orange tube i have never seen a red tube how about read the tube? how much different could it be?

Answer:	It actually is thick. My wife prefers this gel because she says it's "workable". It really is. I dilute ours with KY Liquid to the point we both like it. Also, if you don't use the whole bottle of warming gel after a couple of months, it will clog up in the bottle and won't come out when you need it most. At that point, if you will add some KY Liquid to it and shake it well (or just a little water if you don't have the liquid) it will loosen up the warming gel enough to get it to squeeze out of the bottle and it will come out easily again.
