Answer:	In my case the distance is from the eye. For the 2X lens the distance for me is 10 to 12 inches and varies slightly depending on the angle of the lens on the visor. I think the distance will vary Slightly from person to person depending on the status of your vision.

Answer:	Amazon will provide a tracking number when you item is shipped, however, they don't always use UPS, they have their own delivery system which, I find to be excellent as they will provide a location map (on your computer, smart cell, etc., usually starting when they are 10 stops away) of where your delivery is and it's a live map (updated frequently), which, makes it easy to know when the will be at your location!

Answer:	The best distance can be vary from person to person, generally, the best magnifying result would be anywhere from 2" to 4.5" above the objects/small prints, the point is to see objects/small prints clearly, some people see clearly and feel most comfortable for their eyes with distance 2.5" while other may find 3.5" to 4".

Answer:	Technically yes but you will get very little magnification if you do this. For the magnification to be effective, there needs to be some distance between the magnifier and the text. Turning on the LED lights might help make the paperback more readable even without magnification.

This is additive to the diopter measurement of your eye (which changes with age) so if your eye currently is capable of 1.0 diopter, you add this to that to get a new strength of 2.0 diopters. So yes all of these lenses do indeed magnify.

ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION-

The Lightview is really simple to put together. It comes with only four pieces, and also includes a simple instruction diagram to show how the parts fit together. Any necessary tools are provided in the package. The On/Off switch is conveniently located at the top of the gooseneck, near the lens.

The lamp is plugin operated (5 foot long cord included!) and this lamp works only with 110v outlets but is safe to use in 220v outlets with a 220v-110v voltage converter.

The lamp can be controlled using a wall switch, though it unfortunately is not currently compatible with Alexa. Just set the lamp up, leave it in the on position plugged into the wall outlet, and let the switch do the rest.
