Answer:	From Wikipedia, you can find the following formula for magnification power: [MA] = (25cm)/(f) + 1 Solving for f, you would need a focal length of 8.6mm. Magnifying glasses only work if the object is closer than one focal length. This would make the magnifying glass completely impractical, and is quite obviously not true. Summary: it's not possible to have a single lens that can magnify at 30x and be of any practical use.

The Lightview is really lightweight and is simple to put together. It comes with only four pieces that snap into place with each other easily, and also includes a simple instruction diagram to show how the parts fit together.

The On/Off switch is conveniently located at the top of the gooseneck, near the lens. The lamp is plugin operated and works with 110v - 220v outlets; you would just need to use a plug adapter to use it outside of the US, as the plug is made to fit standard US AC outlets.

Answer:	My son purchased this for me, it works well for magnifying but ut it is heavy. I am not elderly, but I cannot sit and read with it. The magnification is truly 5x for large lens and 10x for smaller lens and it was the best magnifiers that I bought for coin collecting and I have tried the cheaper ones and they are worthless. Answer:	The length of the flexible part of the neck is about 12". With the non-flexible portions at the top and bottom it is about 15". When the neck is bent as high up as possible just so that the light/magnifying part is parallel to a table top and the rest of the neck is straight it has a height of about 14 1/2" when it is attached to the table base.

Answer:	If you mean when the clamp is completely open will it still be secure - I've had the clamp open as far as I can get it and have had no problems. It stays put. The clamp is pretty strong. I have to use both hands to open it fully and the clamp has a ribbed grip surface.

Answer:	if i found 4, 6 and 9 i'm sure there's a 7 somewhere...do a search or a bigger search if it's not on amazon.

Answer:	If you're combining the two lenses 2.5 & 3.5 you'll end up with a 5.00. So the 4.00 would be less strong. I use to put a 1.50 & 2.50 together and the 4.00 that I bought is the same magnification.

The 4.0 is perfect for me, but 6.0 is too strong and everything is blurry. Go to a drug store and try on the OTC readers, putting one pair on top of another and see what works best for you.

Answer:	There is nothing on the magnifying glass/lens that says its country of origin. The only thing printed on it is "100mm". So, I don't know for sure.

Answer:	The lens is 100mm. It's printed on the handle by the lens and it really is. (That's essentially 4 inches (3.937008 inches according to an online calculator.)
