The pistol grip is MUCH easier to use when adjusting. |

| Answer: | The cane accepts 3/4” replacement tips but the shaft tappers from 3/4” on the top to about 1” by the handle. I had to trim the length by 1” (used a dremel tool with an abrasive disk), the bottom 4”-6” is all 3/4” so if you need to trim a little it will still fit replacement tips |

| Answer: | The diameter is a tapered design. It measures .940 at the ring by the handle and .775 at the end. This makes for a very strong and light cane. The handle is carbon fiber. It appears to be a one piece design. It does not chip easily, but it will if treated rough. Chips are only small surface chips and can be filled an blended with finger nail polish. It does not chip and show blemishes as much as a wooden cane. It can also be sized very easy by cutting with a hack saw. I have 2 of these and my wife has 1. I will not buy another wooden cane as I love the carbon fiber for the weight and they look and feel very elegant. |
