Answer:	Yes! These aren’t flimsy little guys they’re strong men. They’re certainly up to the task of muffin batter. Where there’s a wisk there’s a way.

Answer:	That was my concern as well, however, I have had them quite a while and they've been through the dishwasher and no rust yet!! That is one of the reasons I got these.

Answer:	The dough hook is attached to the handle by the two wire prongs of the whisk being inserted into the handle and then filled with what appears to be a resin/epoxy substance. I've washed mine in the dishwasher with no problems and haven't been concerned about contamination.

Answer:	I just checked mine and did notice some water come out of the handle at the top, after I twisted the top a bit. Generally I have no problems with it and wash it in the dishwasher. Until today, I have never noticed water coming out of it. I have had this almost 2 years.
