Question:	It look like the distance between the horizontal rails and the grab bar is fixed. What is the distance between the horizontal rails and the grab bar
Answer:	The grab bar height is actually adjustable. It looks like the grab rail is ABOUT 34" - 39" from the floor. I do not have it installed, so that may be off a little. I can't install it because the legs (even though ajustable) are too tall for my older box spring & frame. Before it can work at my house it would have to fit between the box spring and mattress. My mattress is a little over 14" off the ground. The legs are about 16" tall at their lowest, so installed, the stabilizing bar lifts the mattress off the box spring top. That is a rough measurement because I can't lift the mattress by myself to get the stabilizing bar back in there. Lost my helper to the surgery for a while yet - so I can't be exact. No lifting here at all for a couple more weeks. Sorry about that. It would be a good idea for the right bed. Maybe the manufacturer can give the exact measurements. The adjustable ranges are not printed in the documentation. Unfortunately I tossed it all as well as the box so I can't help with manufacturer's name either.
Question:	What is the weight capacity for this and will it prevent falling out of bed as well as help getting up
Answer:	I don't know what the weight capacity is, my husband is 6'3" and weighs 215 lbs and it works for him. As far as falling out of bed, it depends on where you place it. It definitely helps getting in and out of bed. My mom is 91 and we have one for her as she falls out of bed frequently and she hasn't fallen out singe installing it on her bed.
Question:	Is it possible to place this with the legs inside the bed frame instead of the outside? I'm concerned my dad would trip over the legs
Answer:	The legs do not stick out but sit right up next to the bed frame if you put the device up under the mattress far enough. My mom loves hers. Helps her turn over and sit up on the edge of the bed. She uses a walker also and there is no problem with the device interfering with the walker.
Question:	What is the lowest it can be adjusted to? How far does it insert under the mattress
Answer:	The lowest adjustment to the handle height is sixteen inches (16") from the floor to the box mattress, the highest is 20 plus inches (20" plus). We have a low profile box mattress (13" from floor) so it didn't work. It goes under the mattress 32" to 40". I could see where this item would work very well with a higher box mattress (16" plus from the floor) and therein lies the problem for us.

Answer:	Depends on the height of your mattress. It comes about 15 inches over the top of our mattress. I has been a literal lifesaver for us as my husband can hold on to it to pull himself up and to get his balance before standing up. Before the Medline Assist Bar he slid out of bed many times and had a very hard time getting us without assistance. Now he can do it himself! Saves straining my arms to help him. A real lifesaver!
Question:	One person said this would fit a queen size bed, another noted extra stapping was needed. Which is it
Answer:	We have this on a king size bed, my husband says he didnt use any extra strapping to attach it to the bed. Hope that helps! There are times we have to push it back in because depending on how much, how often and which way you use it it can start to slide out from between the box spring and mattress. Its not a big deal though though im only 5'1" and have no problems getting it back in place by my self.

Answer:	I have a platform bed also. I put it between the box spring & the mattress. There is a strap that goes around and secures so it can not be pulled out. It is very sturdy. I have used mine with much success.

Answer:	Looonnnggg. It easily wraps around the biz springs of a queen size bed (60” width) and back around to the straps to lock and tighten solid to the bed. Answer:	Bed frame would be the most secure, however, around the box spring under your mattress would work. I don't have a box spring under my mattress so I secured the strap around the opposite side of my wooden frame.

Answer:	I looked up what a privia bed was. Not sure this would work. It has two pipe arm to slide under the mattress and straps that go around the box springs to keep it secure. It is a good product in the correct application. I feel you should keep looking.
Question:	We have a Craftmatic adjustable bed. Does the EZ Adjust Bed Rail work on this type of bed
Answer:	Should be able to, but you must install differently than the enclosed instructions. The rail is secured to the bed by straps that are supposed to loop around the bed's foundation. With the automatic bed, you must loop and tie the straps around the moveable base directly under the mattress NOT the foundation. This keeps the bed rail secured to the bed without interfering with operation and movement of the mattress and base. We are using it on a Tempurpedic adjustable twin bed and works great for what we need. The mattress base is metal on this model, so straps are very secure, just had to fiddle with excess length for a while. No problems with it all.

Answer:	The rails are against the sides of the mattress so any bedspread/blanket that hangs over the sides of the bed will "bunch up" at their location. I sacrificed perfectly made bed for personal safety. I straighten the blanket from the bottom of the bed to the rails then fold the blanket back on itself.

Answer:	I don't recall it having a strap. If it came with one, we didn't feel a need to use it. The frame attached to the bed rail goes far enough across between the mattress & box springs that a strap isn't necessary. My MIL has a queen size bed, and this rail has worked great.

Answer:	I do not have a sleep number bed. However, I can not imagine any problem, unless the bed/ mattress folds. Then, there might be a problem, if you want the bar to extend over the fold. If you place the entire bar on the level part of the mattress, it might more difficult to get out of bed.Some other responders say they have Sleep Number Beds and there is no problem in using this product. If their beds fold upward raising your head and upper torso, then there would be nothing for you to worry about. This bar is a great help. However, it is more difficult to make the bed then than without the bar structure.

Answer:	My bed is approximately 14 3/4 inches from the floor to the bottom of the mattress. There is some adjustment available on the legs when you set it up. I think it should be fine.

Answer:	You would need at least 6" clearance between the floor and bed rail. I just purchased a low profile bed frame with 4.5" clearance but the bed side helper would not fit.

Answer:	I no longer have the rail, so I'm estimating it will extend about 6" higher than your 15" mattress That's enough to keep me from rolling out of bed.Properly installed, the design makes it very substantial as a hand support for getting in and out of bed.

Answer:	I would think it would be fine. The bottom long rail goes under the mattress above the box spring. It works wonders for me as I have a high plantation bstyle bed I need a stepstool to get in it . The bed rail is such a help.

Answer:	Absolutely---I am using it now with my mom's adjustable bed and it is fine---very happy with it. You may have to tighten straps periodically, but otherwise perfect for our use.

Question:	Does this product also serve as a bedrail to prevent an adult from falling out of bed
Answer:	I had fallen out if bed and broken ribs. This rail has kept me safe. You must make sure to follow directions. I had fallen out several times. This is a good product. Great for safety. Haven't fallen since I installed. Fits my queen, thick mattress, adjustable bed no problems. The seams on pouch tore on the bottoms fast. 2 pockets then a 3rd. Now the 4th is going. I hoped they sold replacement pouches.
Question:	Is the pouch removable to be washed
Answer:	It's vinyl, so it can be just wiped off if necessary.
Question:	I have a hospital bed, how will this attach to metal frame
Answer:	It doesn't attach to anything. It works by being wedged between the mattress and box spring
Question:	Can this be used on a platform bed with slats going width wise
Answer:	Don't think so....Our use of this bedside rail is on an adjustable twin bed for my elderly disabled mother. While it says it can be used on an adjustable bed it required adaptations. For a bed with slats going the width of the bed, the tubes that go under the bed may slip into the space between the slats. There are also stabilizers that extend from the top portion of the handle that may interfere with a bed rail. It's best use is a standard mattress with box spring.

Answer:	Pretty easy just from looking at it. No paperwork directions came with mine. It’s also held up well and been very sturdy for my mother’s use.

Answer:	The strap is long enough. The bars that slides between the mattresses are long enough that we don't have to use the straps. Best investment we have made in a while.
Question:	does this fold flat
Answer:	It depends on how the bed adjusts. The polls that go under bed are once put together solid piece. I find that I can place it where is is most helpful and safe for wheelchair bound sister not to fall out of bed. If you want it placed at a bending point at hips or knees it wont work but if it's for upper body or calf it would work.

Question:	The top of my loved one's box springs is exactly 15" from the floor. Will this bedrail work
Answer:	I don’t think it would be a good idea. That’s about all that gives it any structure. The first time we used the bed it twisted and the bed fell to the floor even with the wires in place. I don’t recommend this item.
Question:	The height of my bed where the top of the box springs and matress meet is 14". Will this adjust to fit that height
