User questions & answers

Question: It look like the distance between the horizontal rails and the grab bar is fixed. What is the distance between the horizontal rails and the grab bar
Answer: The grab bar height is actually adjustable. It looks like the grab rail is ABOUT 34" - 39" from the floor. I do not have it installed, so that may be off a little. I can't install it because the legs (even though ajustable) are too tall for my older box spring & frame. Before it can work at my house it would have to fit between the box spring and mattress. My mattress is a little over 14" off the ground. The legs are about 16" tall at their lowest, so installed, the stabilizing bar lifts the mattress off the box spring top. That is a rough measurement because I can't lift the mattress by myself to get the stabilizing bar back in there. Lost my helper to the surgery for a while yet - so I can't be exact. No lifting here at all for a couple more weeks. Sorry about that. It would be a good idea for the right bed. Maybe the manufacturer can give the exact measurements. The adjustable ranges are not printed in the documentation. Unfortunately I tossed it all as well as the box so I can't help with manufacturer's name either.
Question: What is the weight capacity for this and will it prevent falling out of bed as well as help getting up
Answer: I don't know what the weight capacity is, my husband is 6'3" and weighs 215 lbs and it works for him. As far as falling out of bed, it depends on where you place it. It definitely helps getting in and out of bed. My mom is 91 and we have one for her as she falls out of bed frequently and she hasn't fallen out singe installing it on her bed.
Question: Is it possible to place this with the legs inside the bed frame instead of the outside? I'm concerned my dad would trip over the legs
Answer: The legs do not stick out but sit right up next to the bed frame if you put the device up under the mattress far enough. My mom loves hers. Helps her turn over and sit up on the edge of the bed. She uses a walker also and there is no problem with the device interfering with the walker.
Question: What is the lowest it can be adjusted to? How far does it insert under the mattress
Answer: The lowest adjustment to the handle height is sixteen inches (16") from the floor to the box mattress, the highest is 20 plus inches (20" plus). We have a low profile box mattress (13" from floor) so it didn't work. It goes under the mattress 32" to 40". I could see where this item would work very well with a higher box mattress (16" plus from the floor) and therein lies the problem for us.

User questions & answers

Question: How supportive? Or is it "open cell foam" which just squish is flat under you
Answer: I don't know. It's to wide and too tall for the Hill-Rom Stryker VersaCare 3200 bed, I had for my adult daughter. She would/could roll right over the top of the side safety rails, plus it will bubble up in the middle because of the width. It can't be "CUT-TO-FIT" at all!!!
Question: If we don't like this mattress how and where do we return it
Answer: I think it was meant to be the only mattress, but we had to buy an additional mattress and use it as an overlay.
Question: Will this mattress fit for invacare hospital bed
Answer: No, I would say water resistant. If you leave water on the mattress it will soak it in, but it will take a few hours
Question: At only 6 inches thick, is this intended as a mattress overlay-rather than a solo mattress
Answer: Hello, Product Dimensions: 80 x 36 x 6 inches. Best Regards, CPAPSupply USA

User questions & answers

Question: Is it VERY easy to raise or lower? Ideally, I'd like to raise one-handed
Answer: It is almost too easy to raise-light squeeze brings it up. Probably need two hands to lower-one to squeeze, one to press down on top, but moves easily.
Question: what is the maximum pounds the table will hold
Answer: The manufacturer, Drive Medical, states the table will hold 40 lbs. easily. I can verify it holds that much and more because I recently got this same model slightly used. They are as sturdy as most basic hospital tables. Many of the questions asked here can be answered by visiting Drive Medical: http://www.drivemedical.com/index.php/non-tilt-overbed-table-121.html
Question: is there a lip around the edge of this table
Answer: there were 3 different price variations of this table, the 2 lower-priced versions do not have a lip, and people seem to be having problems with them, the more expensive one does, and it's a much better product.
Question: I followed the instructions. However, the table can only go up, not down. I'm at the highest table height right now. Can anyone tell me if I did anything wrong
Answer: Hi Kylie, Thank you for your interest in the Drive Medical Non Tilt Top Overbed Table. The table top can be raised or lowered anywhere between 28"- 45". User questions & answers

Question: How does is it shipped? Like packaging
Answer: The XXXXL will fit the Tamron 150-600mm with the hood reversed on the lens, though it is slightly tight.
Question: This is said to be upgraded to 300 lb capacity , but further in description says 300 to 500 weight capacity..... which is it
Answer: I procure materials for my department - I personally did not receive this camera. But rest assured that if to was not legit - my quality engineer would have "raised the roof" - I haven't heard anything negative about this product but I have seen it in her hands as she's walking to the lab to take pictures of the testing for our clients.
Question: Should I rotate the overlay
Answer: I house a 70-300 in it. The 28-300 is only about .16" wider and there is plenty of spare width space with the 70-300 in it (the 28-300 is shorter length wise, so no issue there). So I would say with the spare width room there should not be any problem fitting the 28-300 in the case. (Pulled the 28-300 specs off of the web with a diameter of 3.26 vs 3.1 for the 70-300) Hope that helps.
Question: How do you protect the overlay from someone who is incontinent? I thought underpads decreased effectiveness
Answer: I have Nikon lenses but I measured my 85 macro with the lens hood and end cap which I keep in that bag. My lens is about 1/2 inch shorter than your Canon and it just about fits. So I’m thinking that the bag may be about 1/2 inch too small for you.

User questions & answers

Question: Is there a manufacturer warranty that comes with mat and pump? If so, for how long
Answer: Yes, the Vortex Optics VMX-3T Magnifier is designed to work with Vortex Optics Strikefire II Red Dot with Cantilever mount. The Cantilever mount puts the Strikefire II at a lower 1/3 co-witness height. The VMX-3T magnifier, comes with a baseplate shim which, when installed, also puts it at the same lower 1/3 co-witness height.
Question: I have a queen ajustble bed how can i keep it on the bed
Answer: I use them for Canon so don't know about Minolta.
Question: Does this pad really come with long end flaps
Answer: The total thickness including padding is now 5mm (per one of the side-selectable pictures on its Amazon product page).
Question: Can this be used with a regular bed or does it have to be a hospital bed
Answer: There are really no constrictions on any of the pouch belt straps. There are available size limits, the larger two will fit any belt, the smallest will only accept 7/8-1 inch (25mm max), the next size up will accept 1-7/8 to 2 inch (50 mm max) this is also dependent on the thickness of the belt. The clip has just greater than 1 inch or 26 mm opening.
Question: How much weight will this mattress support
Answer: It stretches a little, but perhaps not enough for your needs. My 100 - 400 lens doesn't make it.
Question: What happens if there is a power outage
Answer: If you search for JJC lens case on Amazon, you will find that all the sizes are listed on the same page. Measure the lenses and pick the right size case. If you don't own the lenses, then search for them on Amazon or one of the major camera vendors such as B&H and look for the lens measurements there.
Question: What are the cycle times
Answer: Sorry. Own a Nikon. My lens fits perfectly
Question: does it stay on all the time
Answer: I tried a number of these for a Sony 70-350mm and none worked well. Either too short or too tight when closing the bag with the lens cap included OR too wide and the lens lopped around. I went for one of the neoprene bags with tie enclosure - (3 Pack) Altura Photo Thick Protective Neoprene Pouch Set for DSLR Camera Lens. I can use this inside a larger JJC or just use it on it's own. Not sure what the dimensions of the 18-400 are but that's the way I went until there is a bag designed for the Sony lens

User questions & answers

Question: what are the dimensions from the bed rail to the floor that will fit this bed side helper
Answer: You would need at least 6" clearance between the floor and bed rail. I just purchased a low profile bed frame with 4.5" clearance but the bed side helper would not fit.
Question: will this bed side helper attach to a day bed
Answer: The bed side helper attaches to the standard bed rails that you assemble to support the box springs. But it's main support is the 4 legs that you adjust. It is an excellent product .... My mother loves her. It allows her to sleep in a full size bed and still be able to get up put of the bed herself .... Very solid once installed properly.
Question: What is the range of height from bed frame to floor will this adjust to
Answer: I had to ask my husband as he installed it for his mom. He believes the range is 2"-10". Hope this helps. His mom was very pleased with it. We installed it on her side of a standard queen bed frame.
Question: How does the helper actually attach to the bed frame, are holes needing to be drilled
Answer: No holes need to be drilled. Must have a metal bed frame for helper to attach. You may need to loosen plates to fit on the bed frame, then tighten. Good luck!
