Answer:	I was just looking on Google for bedside commode with padded seat ... the results of that search included a statement that people also search for replacement padded commode seat; the images offered in that search did, in fact, include a Drive Medical replacement padded commode seat that was being offered new by some vendor. So it appears that with some online searching you probably would be able to replace it.

Answer:	The backrest is very sturdy. There are factors to consider since the weight limit is 350 pounds. I put this commode together for my mother who is a little heavy (160 lbs.). As long as you place it on an even surface your mother should be fine. My mother loved this chair!

Answer:	Hi, I already had a commode chair with a similar seat that attached (snapped onto) to the back frame bar. This seat has two plastic snap-on clips on the bottom back side that simply clip/snap on to the back frame bar.
Question:	Will this fit other commode chairs ( ipu)? does it just sit on top of the attached seat
Answer:	This does not sit on top of the attached toilet seat. You need to remove the attached seat and snap this seat on. On mine, the bars which hold the bottom bucket on the bedside commode were in the way of the snap on attachments of the new seat. So, I unscrewed one side and flipped it and screwed it on in the new position. This widened the snaps and it snapped on with no problem. Hope this helps.
