Answer:	I wouldn't if the grill is on! There are thermometers for that application where the temp probe is placed in the meat while on the grill and the temperature is read remotely on your phone or a receiver. If you're talking about leaving the instrument in the grill when not in use I personally would not. Not that you couldn't.

Answer:	The boiling point of water is 212 F only at sea level. If you are at a higher altitude, the boiling point is lower.
