Please note though that when your blood perfusion level is low or when your hands are cold, the device may need more time to optimize and register an accurate reading. In this instance, we suggest that you warm your hands and fingers before taking the measurements. You can do this simply by rubbing your hands together. Remember your pulse oximeter is measuring your SpO2 and PR based on your blood flow. If the blood flow in your finger drops below a certain level, the pulse oximeter will not be able to function. Answer:	Yes I have and the heart rate is very close. I have several of these and COPD and this ones heart rate at least the one that I have is very good. On the cell phone app which is called Oximeter the oxygen sensor is way off like 5 points high which is critical and I was told that the cell phone oximeter was more designed for sports than for actual health problems! as an example a five point spread could cause major organ damage do to low oxygen!

If you put a short 8 inch length of sewing thread in the lanyard loop and fold the thread so the thread ends meet, then you can easily get the thread through the hole and pull the thread until the lanyard Loop comes through. Question:	Does this device or any similar that anyone knows of have settable alarms for low-oxygen and/or high-pulse? This would be great for sleep apnea detect
Answer:	I have Raynaud’s. I am 60 yr old female recovering from Covid19. You will need to warm your hands up. This is true if you were in the best hospital. Run them under warm water and dry them before getting a read. Also, this will not work with acrylic nails. You will have to either put your finger in upside down or you can use your toe. Raynauds will make your toes cold too, so heat them up a little bit. Wear socks for a bit and then use the device. I did this both ways and got identical results. It works perfect.

Answer:	The pen may actually have a "blood" oxygen saturation of 99% based on how much light passes through it (how these sensors work). Using it not as intended will give results that will be inaccurate as this is not a blood gas lab test...

STEP 1

Remove the battery cover, and insert the two AAA batteries following polarity marking indicates inside of the battery compartment, then reposition the cover.

STEP 2

Slide your finger into the opening probe of the device, until the fingertip touches the built-in stop guide.For best results, make sure the finger is centered within the finger guide.

STEP 3

Press the button to activate the oximeter from sleep mode, and then measurement interface will appear in 3 seconds.
